"To give a title to or to empower"

The last couple of days, I have been pissed off at the world, and for what reason. It hit me today! Who am I? What gives me the right to think I am better than anyone else in this world. I have the title of Parent (power), I have the title of Husband (Power), and I have the title of assistant. Principal (Power) I have the title of Ironman Triathlete (Power). What good is it? I am one of many people in this world and I am a child of God. If God asked his son to be a servant, a product of a controversial home life and despite his role in this world, to carry the name that would change the world; who am I?

I think there was something to Jesus' example of servant leadership. Washing the feet of his followers, the last finishing first and poor inheriting the earth, must have been examples of how to stay out of the miserable state of entitlement. I have heard it said that, there are people that can buy anything, and they are miserable. I have seen people that find fame and fortune try to destroy themselves through drugs and alcohol addiction.

Therefore, I guess in conclusion, I think the key to staying away from the dark side of negativity and the miserable state of entitlement, is to always remind yourself of who you are. A child of God. If you are trying to fall in line with his only son, you may find that others may follow you, but they will leave you when the crap hits the fan. You may do some things that are miraculous, but people will forget about them and want to kill you. You will be asked to do some things that will challenge you to help change the world. You may have to suffer, to set an example of how to handle the suffering. You may be hurt or disappointed by the people you love the most. Nevertheless, stay strong, stay humble and stay the course, because you know your father in heaven asked you to do it.
