Chapter 8: training

I get out of my bathroom and move past the almost crying Finnick and go into the kitchen and sit down at the table. Mags, Marlin, Amathyst, Ashley, Ember, Rose, and Emerald are all sitting while an avox is making breakfast.

"Are you going to eat?" Asked Marlin, but then he notices my cut on my face. "Are you ok, you have a cut on your face. "

"I'm fine, i'll meet you at the training center. And don't worry. I already ate." I said that as I wipe away my tears.

At the training center

After I get in I sit infront of everything else and wait at least five minutes until I hear someone talking to me.

"Hi, who are you?" Asked a very pretty girl that had blonde hair and bright blue eyes.

"I'm Annie Cresta, I am form district four. Who are you?" I asked

"I'm Leah, Leah Connor. District one. Wheres your mentor?"

"Finnick is at the back at the hotel, we got into a fight, but it wasn't a fist fight, it was an emotional fight. In other words long story."

"Oh well can I hear it? We have enough time.''

"Ok, well let's begin with when this all started. I got bullied on the day of the reaping and he helped me up. Then he became my mentor and then when I was just about to leave his hotel room from talking about what and what not to do during the games he called me pretty, so I went back and then he said he meant it, then he asked for me to be hos girlfriend and I said yes. But the today we got into an arguement and we broke up. I know hard to believe. But its true."

''Wow, thats alot and you were dating Finnick Odair!"

"Reah I broke up with him but you can't tell anyone. If anyone found out Finnick and I could be killed."

''Don't worry, I won't tell a soul. I promise. So, what weapon do you use?" She asked.

Tri- throwing knives. What about you?"

"Bow and arrow. See you later."

''Ok." I say as she walks away.

After a lady said what our rules are we begin training. I get up to throwing knives and throw five. All direct hits. And same with doing that same thing three more times as I go to retrieve it Leah walks up to me.

"Would you like to be in the career pack? We already got Marlin to join. Its just you left."

"Yeah. That would be great. Thanks Leah."

"No problem."

The rest of the two weeks go smoothly until the day before the last day. Thats when I get back.
