ZAC POV
The session somehow made me hungry and exhausted so I stopped to the near coffee shop.
"Hi welcome to Café Vergnano! What can I get you hot guy?" The waitress flaunted her chest.
"Can I get cappuccino and cinnamon roll?" I ordered and ignored her doings.
It's not that she's ugly I felt it was wrong. Plus I have to find out myself before I think of dating or even knowing someone. Heck! I don't even know myself.
"That's 5.75£." She gave me flirty glances.
"Here." I paid the bill.
"We have a new cookie flavour for free taste you can try some." She winked.
"No thank you." I mentally rolled my eyes.
"There's no harm in trying you know just one bite." She keeps going on and I'm getting tired of it.
"Fine give it so you can leave me alone." I gave an annoyed expression.
"Uhh... sure." She handed the cookies.
"What is this new flavour called?" I tasted it.
"Strawberry and peanut butter." She informed me.
(TIDBITS OF FLASHBACKS)
I'm sitting on the couch watching a silhouette woman facing back at me. She's eating a strawberry fruit and dipping it on peanut butter. She's was about to turn around when...
(END OF FLASHBACK)
"Hey man, are you okay?" The guy shook my shoulder.
I scanned around the place and the waitress is gone and I couldn't care less. All I can see is a guy in front of me.
"Oh... is this my order?" I was still holding the cookie.
"Yes. You must really like the new cookie flavour since you spaced out." He chuckled.
"Oh that... I just remember something." I eyed him for a minute or two.
"Girlfriend?" He leads me to a spare table.
"Yeah something like that." I gave a brief nod.
"Anyway I'm Ben. Benjie Venoso. I'm actually the owner of this café and I wanted to apologize for my employee's behaviour." Ben offered his hand.
"I'm Zac. Zac Collins nice to meet you man. I was actually thinking of reporting her but I didn't want to come out rude." I introduced myself.
"I understand no worries I will make sure it won't happen again." He assured me.
"Thanks Ben. The place is nice and cosy by the way." I complimented.
"Thanks that what we aimed for when we started this. So where's the girlfriend you zoned out with?" He seems friendly.
"I'm actually on vacation with my Mom." I answered a little cautious.
"If you need someone to talk too you're free to drop by here or give me a call. You seem like you need some friends around here." He handed a business card.
"Yeah sure, thanks Ben! It was nice talking to you." I placed the card in my pocket.
After our short conversation he left me and I finished my snack. It was around dinner when I decided to go home. Mom was in the kitchen while humming some songs.
"How was your therapy?" She was whisking some batter.
"Court says I'm improving." I explained everything but disclosed the part about the woman.
"I'm glad you can remember things from your childhood." Mom hugged me.
"Me too mom, I'll be in my room." I kissed her forehead.
She just nodded and I left to do her chores. I made myself comfortable on my bed and watch the video.
