"Did you think I was never going to find out?" He closes the distance between the two of you with three long strides and corners you between the wall and bed; you could leap over but he would catch you again. "You think I wouldn't notice, see the changes in the staff as I came home?" You shiver, shaking as his eyes stare intensely at your face.

You didn't think about Jongdae finding out, you managed to get the staff's help in hiding things but obviously your husband, a ranking member of the notorious EXO mafia family, was quick to notice even the slightest shift in behaviour.

"I-I..." You wet your dry lips, eyes darting everywhere; looking for a sign of escape from his growing rage. "I was going to tell you..."

"Don't lie to me," Jongdae growls, teeth clenched as his eyes grow fierce. "You would have continued to lie until I dragged it out of you." He grips your chin, his touch gentler than his tone. "Now tell me the truth, where is the cat?"

Jongdae allows you out of the claustrophobic corner he's held you in and you slowly make your way through the house, him close on your heels. You open the door to the wash house - a room Jongdae would never enter and show the small cat curled up asleep on its bed.

In a matter of seconds, the cat is cradled in Jongdae's arms and the previously intimidating expressions softens immediately.

"Why did you hide this from me?" He smiles at you, a blush forming on your cheeks. "What made you think that you needed to lie about this?"

"You come home, tired and angry, and I didn't want to anger you further." Jongdae frowns, coming to your side and planting a kiss on your forehead; apologising for causing you such insecurities. "Do you want to know his name?" Jongdae nods, scratching the pure black cat behind the ears. "I named him Minnie."

"After-" You nod, knowing the name means a lot to him, "thank you." He kisses your waiting lips while turning his attention to the newest member of the family. "Welcome to the family, Minnie."
