Park Chanyeol || EXO, EXO-SC || Ambiguous!AU

Your heart races in your chest as your feet hit the pavement hard, your breathe coming out in smoke because of the cold air and even though it hurt to breath, you kept running. You can hear Chanyeol chasing you, calling your name into the dark, quiet night as you run down the street but you don't stop - you won't stop until he leaves you alone.

Your foot catches on the corner of a loose brick and you feel the pain shoot through you as you tumble on the concrete; your hands, knees and elbows scraped and ankle a little sore as you just sit on the ground and begin to cry.

You walked in on Chanyeol kissing another girl in the foyer of his apartment complex; you went to go and surprise him as you had been visiting family overseas and hadn't seen him in two weeks but it showed how much he missed you. You caught his attention when you dropped the bottle of wine, shattering like your heart and ran out the door before he could catch you.

Though he's caught up to you now.

"Stop running from me," he bends over, panting to catch his breath before kneeling beside you to inspect your injuries but you pull your hand away from him. "Y/N-"

"Get away from me," you hiss, the look in your eyes showing how hurt you are.

"Let me explain," he begins but you just try to get further away from him, "it's not what you think-"

Standing up, you brush yourself off even though it hurts slightly, "don't treat me like an idiot, Chanyeol, don't insult me like that." He hangs his head in shame and you just back away, "leave me alone, please, just leave me alone."

You don't look back as you walk away, a slight limp hindering your ability to run but you hope he respects you enough to do as you ask. There's no explaining this, no justifying what he's done - not ever again, he's gone too far and now you've caught him in the act, you're not going to fall for it.

Not ever again.
