Do Kyungsoo || EXO || Chef!AU

He didn't know how much he wanted it until it was in the house; when you had first sent him a message, shyly telling him that you had done an impulse purchase when you saw the adorable black poodle pup in the window, Kyungsoo was not impressed because who would be taking care of it? Him, no matter how much you protested and said that you would take full responsibility for it - he and you both knew that he would be doing the work.

Turns out, Kyungsoo had taken to the pup quicker than anyone would have guessed.

If it barked, he was up to let it outside to use the bathroom or checking to see what was the matter. If it sneezed, he would reply with 'bless you'. If it wanted to cuddle on your bed despite having it's own dog bed - you bet that your boyfriend was letting the puppy sleep in between you.

"You have to go to work," you are practically pushing him out the door. It's been a week since you adopted Mongmool and Kyungsoo had taken the time off to help him settle into his new home. "You know for a fact that the kitchen is going to be in a state because you haven't been to work all week."

Kyungsoo shrugs, shrugs, and you gasp in horror, "what if he gets hungry while I'm gone?"

"I'll be home to feed him!" You huff, annoyed that he doubts your lack of responsibility, "I know how to look after a pet, Kyungsoo!"

Tilting his head to the side slightly, Kyungsoo gives you a reassuring smile, "I don't doubt it, my love, but this isn't any pet - this is our fur baby. We should consider him a practice run before a real one comes along." With a look of complete shock on your face, Kyungsoo kisses your cheek, ruffles Mongmool's fur and runs off out the door - leaving you looking like you've seen a unicorn fly over a double rainbow.

Shaking your head, you lift Mongmool up until he's eye level and pout, "of course he would say such things now," you mumble before kissing his wet nose and cuddling him while walking back to bed, "he never once said anything before this."

Kyungsoo has left you in shock, complete shock, and you know that this conversation isn't over - not by a long shot.
