When Baekhyun messaged earlier in the week to say he was back in town and wanted to see you, hang out and unwind, you didn't think to say no. It wasn't until he texted to say he was on his way over and you were running the bath for your little one, that you realised that you had double booked yourself.

"Shit," you began to have a minor freak out. Baekhyun had never met your son, he knew you had a child but you made sure to keep the two separate as you didn't want to confuse the young boy.

As you resigned to the fact that Baekhyun would just have to relax while you continued with Mummy Duties, there was a loud, rhythmic knock on the door - indicating he was here.

"Hey, Baek," you are wrapped in a tight hug and the tension he felt for the last few months evaporates at the small smile on your face. "How are-"

"Mummy?" You instantly pay attention to the small, tired voice that walks out, naked and wet from the bath. "Mummy, I want a bottle." You smile apologetically at a shocked Baekhyun frozen in your doorway.

"Sure baby but how about we get dressed first."

Shortly after dressing and appeasing the small boy, he cuddles into your lap while you listen intently to a rambling Baekhyun - it didn't take long for him to warm up to the idea of spending a small amount of time with your child.

When your son places his thumb in his mouth, snuggling deeper into you, you begin to instinctively hum a lullaby - rocking side to side as he drifted off to sleep.

"Don't do that," you look up in surprise, there's a soft look in his eyes as he watches your son sleep, "I might fall for you." You blush, unable to say anything in response as you hurry to put your son to bed - hoping the distance will calm your suddenly speeding heart.

"Too late!" Baekhyun calls from the living area and you could swear your heart gave out.

Maybe you should have done this sooner.
