He was completely satisfied, the blood you had given him made him feel full and content, which was a wonderful feeling after not feeding for quite some time. You had found him nearly completely desiccated in his room because he was hell-bent on not hurting you, that he nearly killed himself.

It took some convincing because he wasn't entirely sure whether you knew what you were getting yourself into but once he was assured, he fed.

You curl up in a ball, feeling colder than you had when you entered his dark home and Minseok realised that he may have taken more than he thought and that you would need some time to rest. Things between you were far from romantic, Minseok had watch you grow up and watched over you; he had been your father, your brother and then your friend and even though you loved him more than words could describe - romance would never be in the cards for you both.

"Come here," he opens his arms and cradles you close. His body feels warmer than it had before and you try to get as close as you possibly can to take the heat he's giving you. "Silly girl, I told you that it could be dangerous."

Your teeth are chattering but you can feel him trying to heat you up by rubbing your arms and back. "You would have died otherwise," you manage out, "after everything you have ever done for me, I wasn't going to give up on you." If his heart could beat, it would have fluttered in that moment.

Pulling the blankets over your bodies, Minseok settles in for a long night. Once you're all warmed up and no longer shivering, he's going to give get some ingredients for soup and make you some chicken soup; once you're all ready to go home, he's going to keep watch over you to make sure the nasty side effects don't cripple you some more. Feeding a vampire, even willingly, can have some effects on the human body that are less than favourable and he wasn't going to risk your life like that.

Closing your eyes, you breathe him in and allow sleep to take you. You'll never know why Minseok has guarded and protected you since you were a child, and one day, you'll find out but tonight, you'll just allow yourself this one moment of closeness to the only man who's ever owned your heart.
