Stupid ideas happen because stupid people think they are great and get their stupider friends to join in - you and Chanyeol are such stupid friends.

So when he suggests going to the supposedly haunted house, abandoned in the middle of nowhere, at midnight - you stupidly agree.

"So rumour has it, the man who used to live here, killed his wife and child with an axe." He says in a spooky tone but you scoff.

"Chanyeol, that's how everyone killed their family in your books." He shrugs and points to the bottom of the staircase; the wood is darker, black and you shiver at the thought that it could be blood.

"Shall we check upstairs?" You nod, the black wood now out of your mind as you walk up behind him.

It's dark, the rooms are dusty and the floors creaky; it's the perfect setting for a haunted house - if it really is one.

Next thing you know, something brushes past your leg and you scream; you scream and you run, not looking back and not caring about whether your friend followed or not.

You take the stairs two at a time, still screaming and running out the door before jumping in the car, locking the doors and hiding in the backseat.

Stupid idea. Stupid house. Stupid Chanyeol.

"Yah!" A knock on the window startles you again, causing you to scream once more. "What the hell, Y/N? You left me behind to die!" Unlocking the car with his keys, he gets into the front seat, not looking at you.

"Ghosts aren't real, Chanyeol." Your voice is weaker than you hoped and he scoffs, turning on the car and reversing to head home.

"Yeah but it still hurts! If there really was one, you would have ran and let me die!" You can hear the pout in his voice and you can't believe he's so upset by this.

"Well," you give him a cheeky smile in the rear view mirror, "got to use someone as a distract so I can escape, right?"
