You spent all day preparing a special dinner for Chanyeol and his family; this was your first time meeting anyone outside of his mother in the one year you have been with him. You slaved over the stone, making meals from scratch according to his mother's recipes.
You decided to even do something special for your hardworking boyfriend and made galbi.
When everyone came around, you were nervous - this was quickly dissipated by a warm family who talked around the table and made you feel like you belonged.
However, a certain someone stayed silent since everyone arrived.
"You haven't even touched your food. What's going on?" His mother taps his hand, attracting her son's attention and Chanyeol jumps, slightly startled.
"I-uh," he looks around and you feel worried, it didn't seem like anything was bothering him earlier - he was happy as usual but you noticed a slight shift in his mood when everyone arrived.
Did he not really want you meeting his family?
Was there something wrong with your cooking?
Endless possibilities run through your minds and you miss his awkward movement beside you, you miss him looking at you with hopeful, wide eyes.
The one thing you do notice is how his mother places her hands over her mouth and gasps.
