PART 2
| Murasakibara Atsushi |

Christmas Eve. Spent walking along the snow-ridden paths beside windows full of mannequins dressed in elegant attire and warm clothing. That's how exciting your christmas eve was. And you weren't even purchasing anything, just window shopping. Despite having workaholic parents that both had pretty good jobs, you didn't have the opportunity to buy what you wanted.

You sighed, breathing out a cloud of white. Removing your eyes from the fluffy earmuffs the mannequin wore, you stared down at the snow in front of your feet as you continued on the way. There was less people roaming around by now, since it was pretty late, but there was no place for you to go except the lonely rooms that made up a house.

You stopped in your tracks, staring at the white sneakers that stood in front of you. They weren't very far from your own boots, but any closer and you would've collided with whoever this was.

"Sorry." You attempted to manoeuvre around their left but they stepped to the left at the same time. It happened again as you tried to go right.

"Ah, excuse me," You lifted your head, only to have to crane your head back. The soreness of having your neck bent down for all this time settled in.

It was a boy that looked to be the same age, with purple hair that reached below his chin. He was at least two metres tall, a coat with a furry hood kept him warm while red earphones sang music into his ears. His stare was a little uncomfortable, a cold glint resonated in his eyes, ones you had seen several times in your father's when you were in the middle of your rebel phase. But that glint lay buried under the eyes of a bored, lonely boy. You knew those eyes, you owned them yourself.

The stick of a lollipop hung out of the side of his shut mouth, and the whole time his figure towered over you, your eyes never left his.

He was the first to break the eye contact you two were exchanging, only to look at the earmuff you were gazing at earlier.

"Hm, they don't look that bad." His voice was layered with laziness, but it felt like this was what he sounded like everyday.

Without another word, his hand, that was previously tucked into his coat pocket, reached out and grabbed your wrist, your hand slipping out of your own pocket as the cold air trailed through your fingers. Pulling, almost dragging, you along, the boy entered the store, heading to the counter immediately. Funnily enough, you made no protest, no sound, and all you did was watch as he spoke to the sales assistant.

"I'd like those earmuffs please." He pointed to the ones you liked. What was he doing?

"For your girlfriend here?" The sales assistant smiled kindly, gesturing slightly to you. You were surprised that she could even see you behind the gigantic boy in front of you.

With one single tug, he pulled you to his side, your head not even reaching his shoulder.

"Yes."
