| Murasakibara Atsushi |

Murasakibara found a new love; the cake shop. It had opened not too long ago, a little over a month, but customers were always going in and out, smiles decorating their faces like the flowers that decorated the cakes.

He had become friends with the owner who taught him a few recipes that Murasakibara put to good use.

The owner had a daughter, Ruka, who would help out at the shop when she arrived back from school. She was particularly interested in one tall boy, Murasakibara himself. He had apparently made himself a regular customer, and was frequently at the cake shop every day, not necessarily to purchase but sometimes to cook or learn recipes.

Today was no exception. The tinkling of the bell that was hung above the door (which Murasakibara himself could reach) filled the room.

Ruka wiped her flour-covered hands on her apron and walked into the room. She caught glimpse of the purple hair she admired and quickly ducked behind the counter.

I look awful right now, Ruka thought frantically, and Dad's out to deliver a cake.

Ruka could hear the footsteps sounding as Murasakibara paced around the shop, staring at the many cakes.

"Excuse me." Ruka shrieked and looked up to see the top quarter of Murasakibara's body leaned over the counter.

"Huh? How can you still look over here, your a giant!" Ruka stood up and gasped at how tall he actually was.

Today he was dressed as he usually was, but Ruka couldn't help but think he still looked amazing. His purple hair was pulled back into a ponytail and his school bag was hanging from one shoulder.

Murasakibara smiled lazily. "Your hair is beautiful, like candy."

Ruka's cheeks immediately turned red, and she glanced down at her pink hair. It wasn't that vibrant, a light, dusty pink that reminded everyone of candy floss.

"Why aren't you ever around when I'm here?" Murasakibara questioned. Ruka fiddled with her fingers, trying to conjure up a reasonable answer.

"I like you!" She slapped a hand over her mouth, shocked that those words had actually been said. Panic filled her, but the ability to move from her spot was nonexistent.

Murasakibara smiled again, and Ruka felt like she was melting.

"I'd like to buy this one." He pointed down at a little heart shaped cupcake with candy flower decorations and purple and pink sprinkles. It was one of their more romantic cakes, one that Ruka's father had made for her Mum on their first date.

Ruka sighed mentally. It must be for the girl he likes, she thought sadly.

Muraskibara collected the boxed cupcake from her and she felt like crying.

"Thanks for purchasing, have a good day!" Ruka smiled, but it wasn't the usual one that she gave to customers, it was sadder.

"Ruka-chin," She looked up, her mind wondering what he wanted, "Here you go."

In her palm lay the boxed cupcake, and after a few minutes, she finally understood.

Murasakibara liked her.

"Mura--"

Ruka was cut off by him.

"Atsushi, call me that."
