| Yukio Kasamatsu |
"Kise, you're late!" Kasamatsu punched Kise, and Sakiko laughed.
"Come on, Yukio-kun, give the guy a break! You know how hard those fangirls can be." Sakiko walked over to the Kaijo basketball team, a water bottle in one hand.
"Yeah, Captain, listen to your girlfriend!" Kasamatsu covered his face with his hand, clearly showing he was blushing, and whacked Kise on the head with the other.
"Shut up, Kise." His voice was muffled becuase of the hand covering it.
Sakiko chuckled at their silly banter. It's always like this, she thought."Alright, boys, fifty laps!" She yelled, and the basketball team responded with irritated murmurs. "What's that? Fifty is too easy for you guys? Then I'll make it seventy-five!" Sakiko smirked.
The muttering got louder as the boys got ready to run and Sakiko shook her head. Idiots, I'll keep on raising it if I hear more talking.
"Do you want a hundred?" All of them quickly shut their mouths and began their laps, knowing how harsh Sakiko could be.
Sakiko was the manager of the Kaijo basketball team and since the coach was currently away on some sort of business, Sakiko was in charge of practices. They've been coached by her before so they knew the full extent of Sakiko's evilness.
Once they finished their seventy-five laps, a lot of them were downing their water like they just walked through the Sahara desert. Kasamatsu was carefully taking his water, and was away from the others, talking to Kise.
Sakiko slyly eavesdropped on their conversation.
"We need to get better." Kasamatsu's authoritative voice spoke to Kise, who nodded in response.
"I know, we all do." Kise replied, his defending side immediately went into action.
"But--"
"Stop being stupid, Yukio-kun." Sakiko decided to speak out, irritation and frustration filling her system.
He looked surprised from her tone. Sakiko was rarely ever like this.
"This team understands completely that we need to work on many things, all of us has something to get better at. So do you, Yukio-kun. We may not be better than others, Rakuzan for instance, but that's what inspires and pushes all of us to work harder. Every one here is trying their very best, physically and emotionally." Sakiko finished her speech, and by now everybody had caught her attention.
Smiles gradually graced all their faces and the happiness and motivation that had worn away had been revived.
"Thank you, manager." Sakiko grinned and turned to face the others.
"Thanks, Sakiko." Kasamatsu hugged Sakiko from behind.
"Gross! Yukio-kun you're all sweaty." Sakiko shrieked and attempted to pry him off her body.
Kasamatsu grinned wickedly.
"Accept it, Sakiko, it's what happens after running seventy-five laps."
She made a face of disgust, and before she could retort, Sakiko was attacked by five other boys.
"Guys! This is disgusting!"
Sakiko didn't consider these boys as friends, or basketball players she was just the manager for. No.
These boys were family.
Well, except Kasamatsu. They were dating after all.
