She was dangerous. A lightning strike that brought down everyone and everything in her path. She was dangerous and he was in love.
They looked like a perfect fit, a boy who swept his enemies away in basketball and a girl who settled for nothing but satisfaction.
But he wasn't what he seemed. Behind the cold front he layered, Aomine Daiki was just a boy. He was someone with an easily broken heart and didn't want that heart to be broken. It was too much pain and suffering to deal with, and so he dedicated himself to basketball.
Hidden emotions built up into merciless skills that rendered his opponent breathless, that was Aomine Daiki.
She, with her waist-long golden hair and piercing red eyes, was a complete and utter nightmare. And he loved her all the same. He loved the fire that burned in her eyes, confined and becoming greater each day.
She wasn't much, just a girl who was broken and tattered in every way. A puzzle with missing pieces. A lonely girl - trying to find a place where she belonged.
And that place was in his heart. Even if one day he woke up and she tore it to pieces. Even when she stared him down with eyes that held back tears of pain and sorrow.
Because she was already heartbroken, it was alright for her to break his. It was okay because then they'd be the same. It was perfectly fine because he loved her no matter what.
And he was going to save her - no matter what.
She was, in every possible way, dangerous, and he was her safe haven.
