CHAPTER 29: FIRST KISS

IN EVERY relationship, there are time for everything.

Meeting each other's parent comes after a month or at some unfortunate event, never happens at all.

Pero bakit ang panahong ito para sa akin ay agad na dumating?

Vaughnn tricked me!

Sabi niya, gagala lang kami at kakain sa labas. Dalawang linggo ko siyang hindi nakita dahil medyo naging busy na siya. I didn't ask why though. Sa laki ng kompanya nila, alam kong marami siyang ginagawa.

I don't wanna be a burden however, I can't stop myself from missing him. Hindi ko rin siya p'weding puntahan sa opisina niya dahil baka may makaalam na iba.

It was my choice to remain anonymous anyway. I should just bear with it.

"Han, darling? Are you okey?" Vaughnn's mom asked. We have met  a couple times before and she's always warm and nice. However, it was still awkward for me to address her as Tita Hera.

"Opo," sagot ko. I glanced at Vaughnn at my right. Pangiti-ngiti lang siya sa akin. How could he do this to me? I am not even prepared.

Hindi ko nga matingnan nang diritso ang ama niyang nasa harap namin. Geez! My knees are trembling like any time soon, I could collapse.

Seryoso ang ama niya at napakatipid ngumiti.

"So, is this the girl that made you like a mess for a couple of days?"

Relax lang, Han. Si Vaughnn ang tinatanong ng papa niya. Kaya huminga ka.

My gosh! This was so unbelievable. Even his voice was full of authority. Nagtatanong lang naman siya.

"That description was exaggerated, dad," Vaughnn replied.

"Come on son, we have known you since you were young. Are you ashamed of what you've done? Halos hindi ka na nga kumain e." Tita Hera laughed after saying that and it made a few lines appear on Vaughnn's temple.

From what I'm seeing now, his mother and father have a very different personality. But their faces are both beautiful,no wonder why Vaughnn inherited such genes.

"Han, darling. You did give him a hard time. He was usually moody but it was worse."

Moody? Never saw him get cranky. He was always nice to me.

"It was his first heart break, hon," Mr. Gerald, Vaughnn's father stated. He cut his steak with such elegance that watching him made me unable to move, not even a finger. Isang subo pa nga lang yata ako. I'm too anxious with my actions.

"Loosen up," Vaughnn whispered. Mamaya lang talaga 'tong lalaki na 'to sa'kin. I'll shave his hair off his head.

The 2 hours of torture passed slowly. Hindi ko alam kung paano ako naka-survive at ngayon,nasa tabi na ni Vaughnn sa loob ng kotse.

He was driving me home already.

"How do I skin a man alive?" I asked. He let himself a boyish grin. Oh, not this time. He ain't gonna get away using that cute face of his.

"Vaughnn naman! You nearly gave me a heart attack! My heart is still pounding until now!" Totoo naman. Hinawakan ko ang dibdib ko at ang lakas pa rin ng kabog nito.

He should give me considerations.

I wasn't ready!

Hindi ko nga alam kung kamusta ang naging galaw ko kanina.

"Sorry na,"sabi niya. He made a puppy face. Akala niya madadala niya ako sa mga ganyan niya? Huh!
