Before you read:
This story is a work of fiction and all rights are reserved by Locket44. Please do not copy is story or post it anywhere else under your name or I WILL have to seek you out with my spatular and make your life a LIVING HELL!
All the songs in this book were not written by me, all the dedication must go to their artists. I may claim that Maxine or Heartbeat or Abby Lane have written them, but that is simply for the story as I do no have the talent to write songs as well as they do. Updates may be a little slow as I do have a life outside of Wattpad and I do go to school everyday and I do get homework. So please, bare with me.
The cover was made by xFakingaSmilex all credit for that must go to her as I absolutely love it!!
But enjoy the story and please don't forget to comment and vote! It makes my day every time!
Thanks!
Lots of love

Chapter One: Twenty Seven Dresses, a Cinderella Story and Wild Child
"Okay, so you are all due to return to school on Monday 28th to start off the new term." Miss Rover sifted through her papers and then looked up at the class again. Maxine could feel Rachel shaking with impatience beside her and she put out her hand and placed it on her friend's arm to steady her. Rachel shot her a frustrated look and Maxine had to bite her cheeks so as not to laugh. Miss Rover began to talk again and Maxine turned her attention from her friend to the front of the class. "We have a guest speeker at our assembly first up next term so please don't be late. Umm." She sifted through her papers again and then took her glasses off, rubbing her eyes. "And I think that's it. You are free to go."
A shout went up through the classroom and Rachel pumped her fist into the air beside Maxine.
"Holidays!" She shouted, jumping up out of her seat. Maxine laughed. She picked up her music book which was lying on her desk and slipped the note about the assembly into it as her diary was somewhere at the bottom of her bag. Her music book was probably by far her most loved book. The cover was faded and worn down, the pages were torn and well read. It was full of pictures and quotes by her favourite artists, her favourite songs and songs that she herself had written. Maxine slipped it into her shoulder bag and stood up, swinging the bag over her shoulder. Rachel was already halfway out the door and Maxine turned to wave to Miss Rover who waved back looking slightly bewildered. Maxine chuckled and let the thrill of the holidays wash over her. Then Rachel had her elbow and they pushed their way through the door, joining the full flowing stream of students.
"I can't believe it's Holidays!" Rachel laughed, bouncing up and down as she yanked her locker open and reached for her camera.
"Are you telling me we had to make that detour just for you to get that stupid camera?" Maxine sighed as Rachel flipped it open, adding a fresh roll of film.
"It's not stupid." Rachel defended as she hung it over her shoulder and turned to glare at Maxine, "it's my baby." Maxine laughed.
"Of course it is." Rachel grinned and then snapped a picture of two boys from the football team. Maxine rolled her eyes and yanked her friend back against the lockers as
the two boys walked past."What did you do that for?" Rachel asked, "I had a clear shot." Maxine rolled her eyes and grinned. Rachel's frown disappeared and she smiled back.
"Come on." Maxine said. "Let's get out of here." Racheal nodded in agreement. The two girls rejoined the other students and began to head towards the doors. Once they were clear of the doors and running down the stairs, Rachel's mother Mrs Adams waved at them from the parking lot.
