Jennie chuckled awkwardly and scratched the back of her neck. "What?"
The two boys shared a glance with each other before looking back at Jennie. Jimin bit his bottom lip. "I like you."

chapter 1
It was 11:34pm and Jennie wanted nothing more than for her shift to end so she could finally go home and sleep. There was half an hour left, but it felt like an eternity just watching the minutes go by on her small wrist watch.
It was a Saturday night, and knowing she had to wake up early for church the next morning made her want to just scream out loud and quit her job.
There weren't many people in Walmart anyway. The last time a customer came into her aisle was about an hour ago, and it was just her and another employee, Namjoon working the registers that night.
The two weren't that close but they knew of each other. Not just because they worked together, but because of how small their town was.
Everyone in Seoul knew each other, it was a conservative town that didn't have many people entering or leaving the area. Jennie wasn't the fondest of Seoul, but it was where she lived and all that she knew.
She leaned slightly on the cash register, bored out of her mind. She thought about going on her phone, which was turned off and in the safety of her pocket, but she knew that could get her fired.
Sure, Walmart wasn't the most ideal place to work at, but Jennie didn't want to face her mother's wrath if she ever got in trouble on the job.
In the middle of contemplating what else she could do, Jennie heard an eccentric laugh. One that was so captivating that it had her looking around to find the source.
It was bright in the store, all of the lights were turned on, illuminating the stocked shelves and empty space. Then she saw a flash of pink passing within a distance. Her eyes followed the sight as it neared her, and the person that was revealed had her staring in awe.
Hair. The pink she saw was hair, which belonged to a boy, one who was absolutely breathtaking. A wide, pretty smile took over his face, and his eyes were so crinkled it seemed to disappear as he laughed.
The color of his hair almost matched his full lips. Jennie felt as if her brain cells were slowly fading in his presence, and it took her a moment to see that he wasn't by himself. Pushing the cart was another guy who was much taller.
This one had minty blue hair that was secured by a black bandana, exposing his unblemished skin. He didn't look as cheerful as the pink haired boy beside him. In fact, there was no sign of a smile on his face, nor was he even looking at his friend.
