chapter 7
"Did you guys see the new students yet?" A few girls who sat in front of Jennie gossiped and one voice in particular she was familiar with.
She knew eavesdropping was bad but when she heard one of them say cotton candy boys, she couldn't help herself.
The group of girls fell into a fit of giggles. "They're so hot, especially the blue guy." A girl who Jennie recognized as Chaeryeong, one of Jisoo's friends commented.
She felt kind of relieved that they didn't know their names, and she didn't feel guilty about it either.
"The pink one is more my type honestly. Cute and bubbly." Jimin was pretty cute. Really cute actually.
"Yea but the blue one has that mysterious bad boy look." Taehyung was a bit mysterious, Jennie noted. He was intriguing.
She wondered what was hidden behind his mysterious facade. All she knew about him, or well, both of the boys, were their names and the fact that they lived in Hoboken.
And how Jimin is more of a free spirit while Taehyung seems to be the more responsible and realistic one. But not much about who they actually were.
One of the girls, Yeji, whined a bit loudly. "Yea but he's rude."
"What do you mean?" Chaeryeong asked, scrunching her face in dislike.
"Remember when Rose went up to him and tried to get his number? Yea well he completely ignored her, like he pretended he didn't even notice." The girls gasped and a small smirk formed on Jennie's face.
She kept her gaze down on the laptop in front of her to not bring attention onto herself, but the room was pretty loud anyway so she didn't really have to be secretive.
"Well honestly Rose isn't that much to look anyway at so I can see why." The brattiness in the Jisoo's voice didn't sit well with Jennie.
She talks like that in front of her friends too?
"Girl no you did not - "
The professor's voice interrupted the room from their chatting. "Alright, that's pretty much it for today. I'll be here for the next hour."
Students began filing out of the classroom and Jennie stood up as well, packing up her computer. This was one of her favorite classes since Mr. Ren hardly gave any assignments to do outside of class.
He was also pretty entertaining and didn't mind students during his lectures unlike many others.
As she walked towards the door, she heard a voice shriek from behind her. "Oh my gosh look, they're waiting by the door!"
Jennie glanced at the door and spotted Taehyung standing by the door, but she didn't see the pink haired boy beside him. Where was Jimin? They were always together.
"They must be waiting for me." The voice belonged to Jisoo, who flipped her dark hair over her shoulder, accidentally, or purposely hitting her friend's face. "Taehyung did ask me for my number in Science earlier. I knew it wouldn't be long until he fell for me."
Jennie made a quick throwing up face, an expression she made one too many times due to her sister. The steps from behind her became more frequent and Jennie already knew what was going to happen before it did.
A hard shove on her shoulder appeared and the sight of Jisoo walking towards the door made her feel a bit angrier this time. Her little posse followed behind her and eventually they were all crowding Taehyung as Jisoo stood in the middle closest to him.
Jennie stared at them from outside the door, witnessing the blank look on Taehyung's face as Jisoo worked her coy smile into effect. It didn't work though since he just turned his head, looking for something.
"Hi!" Jennie flinched to the side and watched with wide eyes as Jimin stood there waving.
He laughed upon seeing the expression on her face.
She shook her head but the contagious smile he wore spread onto her. "You have got to stop scaring me Jimin. I'm only 20, I don't want to suffer from a heart attack this early."
"I'm sorry." He locked arms with him and Jennie noticed how extra touchy he seemed today.
He looked happy and so she spoke about it.
"You look happy today." She felt him lead her over to where Taehyung stood, basically being harrassed by the flock of girls.
He locked his other arm with Taehyung and stole him away.
"Hey Tae, I found her."
Jennie felt the stares coming from around her as the jumpy pink haired boy pulled the two of them down the hall. She tried to avoid looking at anyone for too long but noticed her friend Mahkai winking at her as she passed by.
She rolled her eyes at him but the smile never left her face.
The three exited the building and walked around the campus.
"So, we have an idea on what to do today." Jimin introduced cheerfully.
A day had already passed since they took Jennie to her first party. The day after that, Jennie had work since she had no classes on Wednesdays and the two kept her company for only a few minutes before leaving, but with them were several rolls of toilet paper.
Jennie didn't even ask why they were buying so much toilet paper at the time since she was too busy being distracted by Jimin.
It was now Thursday, making it a total of four days she had known the boys now.
"Your classes are done for today, right?" Taehyung asked.
It was 4pm, around the time classes usually ended. She didn't have to worry about getting in trouble with her parents either, since her curfew was 11pm and around this time she usually went to study in the library.
"So, where are we going?"
