Jenvmin- Jennie, Taehyung, Jimin
-----
Jennie chuckled awkwardly and scratched the back of her neck. "What?"
The two boys shared a glance with each other before looking back at Jennie. Jimin bit his bottom lip. "I like you."
"And I do too." Taehyung...
She felt warm hands touching the sides of her face. She felt hot all over her body.
"She's not fit to drive home by herself." She heard a deep voice say, and soon she felt arms on either side of her, guiding her carefully.
It was just a panic attack. She wanted to say that she could walk, that she could move on her own, and she wasn't dependent on anyone. But nothing came out of her mouth when she tried to speak, proving her own inner thoughts wrong.
----
The sight of night life in the city was calming, and it really helped Jennie feel herself again. Jennie could get used to seeing this all the time. Driving through the lights and music that flooded the streets of Hoboken.
It was so beautiful. She could see why Jimin and Taehyung lived there. They fit in so well. The city was vibrant like them, and gave her a calming sensation the longer she was driven through the city.
The windows were down slightly, allowing her to hear the natural sounds of honking and chatter that seemed like part of the city.
"You okay back there, Red?" The concerned voice belonged to Taehyung.
She didn't question the random nickname and instead sighed. "I'm fine."
Jennie felt utterly embarrassed for whatever it was that happened back there. She choked back a cry that she felt wanting to come back. "I - I'm sorry - "
Jimin looked back at her with his eyebrows furrowed. He looked annoyed, but it wasn't directed towards her. "Why are you sorry? It was Yeosang who - "
"Jimin." Taehyung kept his gaze on the road but his tone was warning-like. "They're not getting away with anything, you know this."
As lost as Jennie was, she couldn't connect any pieces together. She just kept quiet and sighed. Another question for another day, she figured. Hearing Taehyung's voice again made her think back to what the guy said earlier. How his type was "dark."
Jennie wasn't that dense, she knew that he was talking about the color of her skin. But what did that have to do with anything? Was it because Jimin had brown skin too?
She heard a sound from in the back seat beside her, and it freaked her out for a split second. It was then Jennie realized Melanie was in the back with her the entire time.
She'd been so quiet, which was given due to her condition, but it still shocked her that she hadn't realized her presence all this time. It was so late, didn't she have a bedtime?
"How did you guys know I was in trouble?" She decided to ask that question instead, knowing it was much more important and relevant.
"From Oliver, he texted me." Oliver. She thought back to where she heard the name before and remembered the waiter, Oliver, from the restaurant they took her too.
That was the same guy she saw back at Walmart, the one she swore she recognized. Her eyes widened at the realization. Who is Oliver? And what was he doing there - what? It didn't make much sense, at all. It felt like just when she was getting to know more about the guys, more questions just kept coming.
She couldn't get a break. Who really was Taehyung? Who really was Jimin? And what exactly is she getting herself into being involved with these boys? Jennie was afraid of the answer.
Besides, if Oliver did manage to text the guys, how did they get there so quickly? The questions flooded her mind quickly. "You guys came awfully fast."
She saw Jimin shrug casually. "We were already in town."
He used that line again. It sounded suspicious, very suspicious. But when he began to come to the realization, his words hit her. Hard. Her thoughts were slowly being overtaken by emotions. They were already in town.
"Why didn't you come see me?" Jennie asked, feeling a wave of nervousness spread.
She didn't want to sound or seem annoying, but she couldn't help the unease she felt. She stared out the window that was luckily hidden from the darkness.
The lights from outside reflected on the window, allowing to see the frown imprinted on her face. She didn't catch how Taehyung and Jimin glanced at each other before looking forward.
"We did," Taehyung began, "but, um... your friend told us you didn't want any visitors or something like that."
Jimin shook his head annoyedly. "I knew he was lying!"
Taehyung just let out a sigh. "We couldn't have done anything anyway, Jimin."
"Wait," Jennie looked at them in thought. "...you said my friend? Do you know who?"
"Didn't catch his name. Like spoon, something? I don't know. But he had like... black hair, cute dimples, really nice eyebrows if I'm being honest..."
Even with the vague detail, Jennie had an idea of who Jimin was describing. "Namjoon?"
She saw his face light up in recognition. "Yeah, him!" Jimin said a bit excitedly, and then scowled once he realized who the person was.
"Why would he do that?" she asked herself quietly.
That didn't seem like something he would do, and so it really confused her. He was acting a bit different earlier. That explained it. The car began to slow down and they made a turn off of the main roads.
She looked around as they soon pulled into a parking garage. They were at the same place from last time when the guys took Jennie to see their pretty wall. Back when their situation was much easier. Why were they taking her back there, especially when it was this late?
"Welcome..." Jimin started, and moved his hands exaggeratedly in the air. "To our Home Sweet Home!"
