chapter 9

"Jennie." The girl looked up at the voice by her bedroom door.

Her sister stood there, looking at her as if she were nothing but a mere interference in her life.

"How well do you know those boys." Jennie froze ever so slightly but managed to keep her composure.

She used to be very intimidated by her sister knowing how easily she could get away with things, but she could feel that inch of fear fading.

Jennie knew what guys Jisoo was talking about because she was sure everyone's seen when Jimin dramatically pulled her out of the school building.

It was the memory of them that took a bit of her fear away. "Not much."

"You know," Jisoo tsked and slowly stepped into the room, shutting the door behind her. "Mom and dad would be really upset if she found out about the pills I know that are hidden in your closet."

Jennie went on alert and narrowed her eyes at Jisoo. When did she find out about those? It didn't matter... she already knew, and she was going to go low enough to expose them to her parents. Defeated, she sighed. "What do you want Jisoo?"

"I see you've been hanging out with them lately. How?" She crossed her arms over her chest, angry at the fact that Jennie somehow stole their attention.

"I don't know how, they just - "

"You're lying! What did you do? Are you paying them or something?" Jisoo accused.

Her lip was turned up in disgust and the judgment was laced in her voice.

"No, Jisoo. I don't have time for this - "

Without another word, Jisoo stomped over to the closet and pulled out a black box. Jennie wasn't able to get up in time to stop her from slamming it on the floor.

It seemed like time slowed right in front of her eyes as bottles after bottles fell onto the hardwood floor, some cracking open due to the heavy impact. Jennie winced at the sight and felt her heart drop to her stomach.

"Don't forget who you are." She threatened before walking out of the door, slamming it shut.

Jennie quickly walked over to it and turned the lock.

She took her time picking everything up and putting them back to the way it was. Tears angrily slipped down her cheeks but they wouldn't stop, no matter how many times she swiped her face to get rid of them, they just wouldn't stop.

Jennie turned and faced the pillow hoping they would suck in the liquids coming from out her eyes. The frustration and the same question floated around in her head. Why?
