Chapter Five - Marry You
Kurt hadn't been acting the same for a few weeks, he was overly caught up in wedding planning, though he didn't seem the same at school. It felt like he was always watching his back like something was going to attack him at any given moment, though when I asked about it he had shrugged it off. It was Katie who had told me that a week ago Kurt had confronted Korsofky in the hall, and since then the bullying had just got even worse.
I had been talking to her by my locker when I noticed Karosfky approach, Kurt, without saying anything I hesitantly approached, being silent until he stepped one foot out of line. He snatched the wedding topper from Kurt, who was frozen still in fear. I found myself grit my teeth and approach him. "Hey give that back Korosfky," I yelled I watched Kurt turn around in horror as I confronted him.
"And what are you going to do about it?" He taunted, holding up the figure and shaking it. Though before he had even barely finished speaking I had kicked him right in the balls and he was on the floor howling in pain.
"What are you going to do about that?" I spat, though as I went to walk off my foot had given in, and I too fell to the floor.
The next day I was in crutches again, it was slightly embarrassing considering why, but I had become somewhat of a legend of kicking Karosfky, tons of people were smiling at me, and offering to help me with my bag and books between lessons. It was relieving to know a lot of people hated that guy. It all seemed well until Dave himself had approached me after English Class, I had stayed behind a bit into lunch to finish my story I was enjoying writing, though with no teacher in the room he had shut the door. He knocked my crutches away from my desk to grab my attention, he wasn't happy at all.
"Look, Hummel, I can't physically hurt you, but you will not get away with embarrassing me like that. You're new, and I don't think you know the score. You don't mess with me, and since I can't mess with you, I will make it my personal mission to make you and your brother's lives here a living hell until he's forced to leave and you go back to England." He spat on me, I wish I could have got up and done the same, but my foot was too weak.
