Chapter Nineteen - Don't Rain on my Parade
After Rachel's emotion-filled performance of Jar of Hearts, I had spotted Puck looking somewhat upset around the punch bowl. I had left Blaine at the table with Tina, Mike, Mercedes and Sam to go and check upon him.
"What's up Puckerman?" I had come over, he turned and looked at me, still frowning.
"My plan to spike the punch completely flopped, now I'll never become King of the anti prom." he sighed, I had no idea what he had been referring to, though it seemed like he was pretty upset about it.
Noticing Sue was away from the punch bowl, I had taken my bag with me. I passed it to Puck, he looked confused. "I was saving it for when I went back to Blaine's after, but I think you and the rest of this school needs it more."
He opened up my bag, finding a whole bottle of unopened gin, his eyes lit up. "Poppy, you're the best." he brought me into a hug, his face smiling electrically. "You're on watch while I spike?" he winked, as he snuck under the table to pour from behind as I leant in front of the bowl.
Returning to Blaine, he seemed a bit confused. "What did you give Puck in your bag that made him so happy?"
I sighed, "I had been saving a bottle of gin for us later, though, he was pretty down about not being the king of the anti-prom or something so I gave it to him. Which means, we need as much punch as we can before people catch on it's been spiked and drink it all." I grabbed Blaine's hand, pulling him up and towards the punch, of which we drank three cup-fulls.
"It's time for me to perform." Blaine then winked, leaving me as I found Santana to dance with as Blaine sung.
I was at the front of the crowd dancing, Blaine's eyes glancing over at me as often as he could as everyone seemed to be living for the song. It felt somewhat like we were at a concert, and watching Blaine had made me feel prouder than ever. Afterwards, Figgins had gotten up on the stage, which meant it was that time, to announce the Prom King and Queen. Santana left me to go up on stage, Blaine quickly taking her place.
