Chapter Sixty-Five - Time of Your Life
Freddie had sat the back of the auditorium watching the Don't Stop Believin' performance, almost finding himself crying at the emotion in front of him. He knew he would be comforting his fiancé afterwards, but he wasn't complaining. The only person he had ever been of good comfort to was Kurt, and he enjoyed letting a hidden side of him out.
Kurt had spotted him as he walked up the stairs to leave, sitting at the back and staring at him with those eyes, so intense but so relieving to him. He snuck behind, sitting on the seat next to Freddie, but quickly enough Freddie had grabbed his hand and was pulling him back to the stage.
"I wanted to return the favour for earlier," Freddie insisted, grabbing a guitar which Kurt wasn't aware he could play. "I really don't sing so I wanted to do this just for you, and I can't even believe I'm singing gosh."
"Neither," Kurt smiled, his eyes wide as he took in the sight of his gorgeous fiancé and a guitar in his lap. He had never felt so much intense love all at once.
FREDDIE (caleb hyles version on itunes) If I could begin to be Half of what you think of me I could do about anything I could even learn how to love When I see the way you act Wondering when I'm coming back I could do about anything I could even learn how to love like you Love like you I always thought I might be bad Now I'm sure that it's true 'Cause I think you're so good And I'm nothing like you Look at you go I just adore you I wish that I knew What makes you think I'm so special If I could begin to do Something that does right by you I would do about anything I would even learn how to love When I see the way you look Shaken by how long it took I could do about anything I could even learn how to love like you Love like you Even though I can't compare And I'm sorry if I stir I just want to do everything Maybe I could learn how to love People say this love is wrong But all I want is to belong I can say without any doubt Everyone should learn how to love like you Love like you Love like you
"So after all these years of insisting you couldn't, you can sing, and well," Kurt chuckled as Freddie finished.
Freddie shook his head, "I'm nowhere as good as everyone in that Glee Club, but singing, god, it's not something I would do for just anyone."
