Blaine:Poppy, we're over. Leave me alone.
The response was quick and I felt my whole body shiver. It was blunt for Blaine, though I didn't question it, my heart just shattered. "Poppy, what did he say?"
I couldn't speak, I just showed Santana the phone and watched her eyes narrow. "I will go Lima Heights on him if you want, he can't say that after your message."
"Well he did," I cried into my pasta, "I was so stupid, I shouldn't have ever left him in the first place."
Santana shook her head, "Girl, you literally told him you're not giving up. Isn't this week Diva week, you gotta stick to that because clearly Blaine isn't thinking straight, he just needs a reminder of how fierce you are compared to Tina Diva-Wannabe."
"What if it's no use?" I sighed, "I don't want to be desperate."
"Girl, you could never be desperate." Santana reassured me, "Besides, there's only one song you can sing, and if you can pull it off Mercedes-Jones-style, you'll win Diva Week and get Blaine back."
I stood in front of the Glee Club the next day, Blaine had smiled at me like always, which was odd, though I supposed it was just courtesy. "This is my response to what you texted me last night," I said, looking at Blaine before the music began and I closed my eyes, allowing myself to truly emerge myself in the music, summon every emotion I had felt for the last night.
