Chapter 33: Beach day

(A/N: Long chapter...sorry.)

Miku's POV:

Today (Sunday) it was decided we would go to the beach. I was really excited. I loved the beach and it had been a really long time since I had last gone to one.

When it was time to go I put my bathing suit on under my clothes. I probably wouldn't go deeper than my knees into the water but it was better to be on the safe side.

Rin came out of the closet. "Aren't you so glad we get to go to the beach?" She asked happily. "It's one of my favorite places on the earth."

"Mine too." I agreed. "I love listening to the waves and searching for sand dollars."

"I am sooo glad that we're friends again. That's one of the reasons I wanted you to share my room. So we could become even better friends." Rin smiled a little shyly.

"Aw. Thanks Rin."

There was a knock on the door.

"Don't come in!" Rin shouted. "We're all naked."

"Hurry up, we have to go!" Len called. "Wait...what?"

"Just kidding we're ready." Rin giggled as she opened the door. "Oh actually I forgot. I need my sunscreen and my phone and my sunglasses and my sun hat and some sort of water gun and..." Rin mumbled as she ran off to find her things.

Len smirked at me. "I hid all the water guns. I know why she wants them."

I laughed. Rin and water guns sounded like it could get pretty interesting in a painful way.

Mikuo appeared at the doorway. "Yo, can you two stop flirting and get the heck downstairs. We're ready to go!"

I was about to retort but what's the point? All he'll do is smirk and say "Mhm." And that's more aggravating then fighting.

Rin appeared in the doorway and shoved a towel at Mikuo. "Hold this I gotta get five more." Then she ran into the closet and rummaged around.

"What am I? A coatrack?" Mikuo asked no one in particular. "And why do you need five towels for yourself!?"

"Can you help me?" Rin called from the closet. "The shelf is too high and I can't find a stool."

Mikuo sighed and went into the closet.

I raised my eyebrows at Len. He smiled back at me to show he was thinking the same thing.

Two seconds later Rin burst out and ran out of the room looking for water guns. Mikuo came out after her.

"Speaking of flirting." I said with a laugh.

"Shut up idiot." Mikuo grumbled. 

Woah. wait. I had expected him to laugh and joke about it, that would have meant he didn't actually like her. But he was annoyed at me for saying that!? He liked Rin!?

"Rin get in the car before I put you there." I heard Mr. Kagamine say. "KIDS! I thought you guys WANTED to go to the beach!?"

"Coming!" We yelled and ran down the stairs.

Rin's POV:

Sunday, fun-day! We finally pulled up at the beach parking lot. There was a large ice cream store just outside of the sand and also some sort of tropical-ish smoothie kinda thing.

I had come completely prepared for anything that might happen. Len thought I was one of those girls that takes forever to pack. I said that I wouldn't take as long to pack if I didn't have so much stuff to bring.
