"So, you're tired, huh?" Brett said, his left eyebrow raised in irony.
Eddy grinned. "Yeah mate, massively tired, obviously."
Brett's cheeks were suddenly pink, and his lips were moist and inviting.
"Uhuh." he replied, and he got up from the table, his chair scraping over the floor, and reached for some of the empty plates. "Come on, then."

They took all of the plates to the counter, like the two well-raised boys they were, and then they walked to the lift side by side. Eddy was so nervous again now, but in a very different way than this afternoon. He still had no idea of what would happen, how it would happen, what he wanted to happen. He just knew that he wanted to be with Brett.
Brett took his hand, the second the lift doors closed in front of them, and squeezed it tight.
"Relax, my lovely Eddy." he whispered in his ear. "Everything's fine."
Eddy just nodded. His voice seemed to have left the building, maybe it wanted bubble tea with the other guys instead of going into their room with Brett?
"Hey, my love, you okay?" Brett asked again, and Eddy nodded once more. Then he suddenly turned slightly and buried his face in Brett's hair, wrapping his arms around Brett's back.
"I'm okay." he whispered. "You?"
He felt Brett's smile against his cheek. "Yeah."

Brett opened the door to their room and they walked in silently.
"I'm just going toilet, okay?" Eddy said, and he swiftly went into the little bathroom, leaving Brett on his own.
It would give him a moment to compose himself. He peed quickly, and then he washed his hands and looked in the mirror, his hands supporting his weight on the counter top. He was flushed, his cheeks just as pink as Brett's had been just now, his eyes glittering.
Oh wow, no wonder Todd had looked at him like that. No wonder Todd had made a quick exit.
Whoops.
He breathed deeply a couple of times to settle himself down as the excitement coursed through his body like wildfire.
Are you really going do to this? Something inside him asked.
He knew the answer, of course. Yes, he was so ready to do this. So he squared his shoulders and exited the bathroom.

Brett was half sitting on his bed on top of the blankets with a pillow in his back, just like they had been the night before in Todd and Ian's room, but yet everything was different, because he knew he was being invited in. Eddy smiled at him shyly and then he quickly walked to the other side of the bed, to sit next to him and put his head on Brett's shoulder.
"Hi." he said softly as he snuggled even deeper into his love. "It's so nice to sit like this."
"It's the best." Brett replied hoarsely, and his hand was on Eddy's back, stroking it softly.
It was relaxing, having his hand there, and Eddy sighed contentedly and leaned into his boyfriend.
Then Brett's words of that afternoon coursed through his head loudly, so loudly now.
I wouldn't have minded if your hand would have gone further.
He smiled to himself as he let his right hand sneak under Brett's shirt again.

And from that moment it was easy, it was natural. Their lips found each other and moved together in such harmony, their breaths softly mingling like it was always supposed to be.
And when Eddy's hand did move further, and he felt Brett's responses, and he saw his head tilted back as he made the softest of noises, it was pure happiness that coursed through him.
And when Brett's hand moved in turn, and Brett made him feel things he'd never felt before, he held him so tight to him, the love for him pouring out of his every cell, the soft skin of Brett's neck lovingly absorbing his cries.
Nothing in the world had ever been as good as this.

And when they did eventually fall asleep, after hours of lying together, of touching, of talking, of loving, there was a peace within him that was so deep, it was like nothing Eddy had ever experienced before. There was no beginning, there was no end, there was only the two of them in the world.
Nothing else.
