I went home and entered the house, announcing my presence because my dads must know I'm still breathing.

"Is there a reason why you enter the house sounding like Tarzan?" Gavin asked me.

"I thought you would enjoy knowing I'm alive," I answered with a cheeky grin.

"What did you do?" Gavin questioned me.

"Well, I didn't go to jail. That's a plus," I reasoned.

Gavin rolled his eyes. Ty came into the house, carrying bag in each hand. He saw me.

"Why do you look guilty?" Ty asked me.

"No reason," I answered, shrugging.

"Uh, huh," Ty said, walking past me.

My dads and I have this unique relationship. They try to keep me out of the pokey and hop I graduate without getting expelled from school. Some days we're not sure of the outcome of my future.

I strolled into the kitchen as Ty put groceries away, and Gavin made dinner. I walked over to the counter next to the stove and leaned on it.

"So, I made a slight error trying to help Cody," I mentioned. Gavin stirred the meat as he added vegetables. "I told him that I have a girlfriend."

Gavin stopped and looked at me. Ty stood in front of the fridge and leaned back, looking at me.

"I thought it was a good cover," I reasoned.

"Do you have a girlfriend? When did this happen?" Gavin asked me.

"No, and today," I answered.

Ty closed the fridge door and walked over to me. "So, today, you don't have a girlfriend but said that you do," he mentioned.

"It was a fly by the seat of my pants moment," I reasoned.

"But you haven't found a girl that you like," Ty reminded me.

"I have a friend who's a girl. Does that count?" I asked.

"No!" Both exclaimed.

I shrugged.

"Get back to help Cody. We'll revisit your fake girlfriend issue later," Gavin said as he went back to cooking.

"Coop thought Cody cheated on him and dumped him. Cody didn't cheat, but Coop doesn't know that. I'm helping to get Coop and Cody back together," I explained.

"That sounds familiar," Gavin said as Ty rolled his eyes.

"Can we skip Dad's coming out of the drama and focus on the current situation?" I asked.

Ty rolled his eyes as Gavin chuckled.

"How do I get Coop to forgive Cody and end things with my fake girlfriend?" I questioned. I thought I would throw Larissa in for good measure.

"First, stop saying you have a girlfriend when you don't. Second, get Coop to the Homecoming dance. If he's anything like his mom, that's the solution to your problem," Gavin explained.

That wasn't terrible advice. If it came from Ty, he would screw it up like he usually does. Now to enlist Larissa to help me and keep her at arm's length.

"Yo, mommy one and two, it is I, your loving daughter," I declared, making a dramatic entrance. Lakin and Mia looked at me from the couch and laughed. "See, I knew you would laugh. Casey said you wouldn't, but I said you would. So, ha!"
