Coop

After the incident in the empty classroom with Trent, I tried to keep my distance from him. It didn't work. Trent made it known to me that he wouldn't allow it. I ended up with a black eye. Trent warned me that if I told or warned anyone, I would get worse.

My dad assumed I was fighting and kept grounding me. Trent punished me when I told him I couldn't hang out with him after school or leave school grounds.

People ask, why don't you fight back? The answer's simple. When someone's more potent than you and manipulates you, you believe them. Plus, who would find a guy who would suffer abuse?

Senior year sucked in so many ways for me. It's all thanks that I let my guard down and trusted the wrong damn person. I had no one to blame for this mess except for myself.

I noticed Coop looking rough every time that I saw him. Every chance I attempted to approach him, Trent showed up. I need to figure out how to extract Trent from Coop since Trent is a parasite.

I'll figure that out later. I had to get a gym class before the teacher called my dads. I walked into the locker room, changed, and made my way into the gym.

"Okay, we're doing tumbling today," the teacher announced.

The class groaned.

The teacher looked at Larissa. "Gray, you need to lose the hoodie and sweatpants. We're not outside, and everyone is required to wear the same outfit," he told Larissa.

"I'm good," Larissa said.

"Well, I'm not. It goes against the class rules. Now get rid of the hoodie and sweatpants or fail," the teacher warned.

"Isn't that a little extreme?" Larissa asked, defying the teacher.

The teacher lowered his clipboard and rubbed his forehead. "Look, I can't make exceptions for you when I don't do it for others," the teacher told Larissa.

"Aw, is someone worried that she doesn't look good in shorts?" One banshee mocked.

"Heaven forbid that the princess should have to follow the rules. Her majesty can't deal with the rules," another girl mocked.

Other girls added their comments. The teacher interrupted them. "Enough. Gray now," he ordered Larissa.

"Fine," Larissa huffed. She kicked off her shoes and removed her sweatpants, revealing her shorts and something else. We stood there silent as Larissa removed her hoodie, showing her arms. Scars riddled Larissa's arms and legs as we all stood there, stunned.

"Oh my god! What a freak!" Some girl yelled.

Other people joined in as Larissa stood there, embarrassed. I looked at her and furrowed my brows.

"No wonder you covered yourself. You're hideous," a girl yelled. People started making comments and remarks as Larissa stood there, taking it. Anger erupted inside of me.

"Enough!" I barked.

Everyone stopped and looked at me, surprised with my outburst.

"What the hell is wrong with all of you? Let me guess, your mommy didn't hug you enough leave you insensitive," I told everyone.

"What does it matter to you?" A girl asked in a snarky tone.

I walked towards the girl. "Because unlike you, when I leave this hellhole, I'll survive the real world. You'll be stuck in your glory days after you pop out fifty kids with your loser boyfriend while you work a dead-end job, sweetheart," I remarked.
