Casey
The hospital released Grandpa Bob. He had to do cardiac rehab, change his diet, and lose weight per doctor's orders. Coop, Larissa, and I had other matters to attend to at school. It seems our school thought it would be a great idea to send the senior class to a ski resort for a ski trip.
There are two reasons why this is a terrible idea. One, none of us knows how to ski. Two, who in their right mind would let us loose in a ski resort. Have you met us? Coop cherry bombs the toilets, a mob of girls chase me, and the banshees are always trying to take on Larissa. I see mass destruction in the future.
"This idea is the stupidest I ever heard," Coop said, looking at the permission slip. "Who would send us to a ski resort?"
"Stupid people," I answered as we saw a girl fly through the air and land on the ground past us.
"Isn't that one of the banshees?" Coop asked as we looked at the girl on the ground.
"It's one. I expect another one to come flying through the air," I replied.
We watched another girl fly through the air and land next to the other girl.
"See, I told you," I added.
Larissa walked over to us, brushing off her palms.
"You seem in a better mood," I mentioned.
"My cousins gave me a pep talk and reminded me that I'm a Gray. They also said when some chick bothers me to picture Sable's face. It's an excellent motivator," Larissa reasoned.
I couldn't argue with that logic.
"Did you get a permission slip for the ski trip?" Coop asked Larissa.
"Yeah, and I'm not going," she answered. "I would rather suffer through a documentary than getting stuck with people I dislike, except for you two."
"Who says we have to attend a senior trip to a ski resort? Couldn't we find some other place to go?" Coop asked.
That's thought because I don't cherish spending time with the senior class. I don't even like half of my classmates.
"I have an idea. Since the senior class is getting a long weekend, why don't we go to my family's cabin?" Larissa suggested.
"Who would let us run amuck at a cabin in the woods?" I questioned.
"My family," Larissa smirked.
Coop and I looked at each other, then smiled. Now here's the thing about our ideas, they don't always mesh with our parents. Since our parents know us well, do you think they would let us go to a place alone without adult supervision? That's a big fat no.
Trust me; we tried to sweet talk our parents into trusting us. The conversation met us with a hell no. Do you think we were born yesterday? Were you dropped on your head as a baby? The last question Gavin asked me but looked at Ty.
If we wanted to have this opportunity, we needed to enlist help. Who better than the man, the myth, and the legend himself? We asked Mack. Well, we pleaded our case.
"Let me get this straight, you want me to accompany you to a cabin in the woods to avoid a school trip," Mack said, looking at us like we're insane.
"Our parents don't trust us," Coop mentioned.
"I wonder why? Have you met you three? You blow up toilets," Mack told Coop. He looked at Larissa and me. "You two can't keep from getting suspended. If I take you to a cabin in the woods and lose you, I won't hear the end of it. You lost our precious babies."
