After hanging out with Casey, I went to see Papa. I walked into the house to see him on the couch, yelling at the TV.

"What do you mean that you don't know? It's simply saying yes!" Papa yelled.

I walked over and sat down next to Papa on the couch. "What are you watching?" I asked.

"A show about a girl who's battling cancer and this guy likes her, but she won't admit she likes him. It's heartbreaking," Papa answered.

"So, you're watching Alexa and Katie?" I questioned.

"Don't judge. I like Dylan for Alexa," Papa replied, pausing the TV show.

"You have a serious issue with Netflix," I mentioned.

"Netflix and I have this love/hate relationship. I love shows, and it hates me, so it removes the shows," Papa commented.

I looked at Papa strangely.

"The show reminds me of someone else I know where the person denied their feelings for another person. Who could that be? Oh, that's you," Papa said, pointing to me.

"What do you mean? I haven't denied any feelings, and I don't have anyone to deny feelings for," I answered emphatically.

"Uh, huh. Tell that to someone who buys your shit," Papa told me.

I gave Papa an annoyed look.

"Look, I watched your parents play the game of who is the biggest liar out there. Both denied their feelings for each other. You add in their dipwad friends, and you have a denial party," Papa mentioned.

"What does it matter? Cody cheated on me," I said, glancing at Papa.

Papa looked at me. "Did Cody cheat on you, or are you looking for a reason to end things?" Papa questioned.

"Why would I want to end things?" I asked, feeling annoyed.

"Then, you wouldn't have to admit that you're terrified that can love someone, and they could hurt you," Papa replied.

"That makes no sense," I said, shaking my head.

"It makes perfect sense. Your father was the same way," Papa told me.

I looked at Papa with confusion.

"Andy Panda didn't want to admit he loved Bella because he was leaving for college. They got it together and ends up dumping her because he thought she had some torrid affair with his brother," Papa explained.

"Uncle Ty is gay," I mentioned.

"Right, but instead of questioning it, your father thought it would be a grand idea to dump your mother. Thanks to his dipwad ways, I got stuck listening to horrible, angry girl songs. I'm still pissed at him for that," Papa huffed.

"It doesn't matter. Cody would find someone else eventually," I mumbled.

Papa looked at me as I got up and left. I didn't want to sit here any longer and talk about Cody. What's the point. I opened up to someone I like, and it blew up in my face. I knew it would, but no one listened.

I shook my head after Coop left. Paige came out of the kitchen. "Was that Cooper?" She asked.
