When you feel a vibration through your body, it's your body's warning you. You need to listen to it. When you trust people you don't know; you end up with more than you bargain for with them. I noticed this with Coop.

It didn't help that Brandon called to find out the status with Cody and Coop. I told him that I was working on it. It's not like I can say, oh, by the way, Coop seems smitten with someone else. Yeah, that would go over the swell.

Larissa and I sat at the table while Coop sat with Trent. Even his name sounds like trout.

"Don't you think Trent is close to trout?" Larissa asked, making me snicker.

Great minds think alike.

"Who names their kid Trent? I'm sure kids at school called him trout. Ooh, I caught a lake trout," Larissa joked.

I chuckled. We went back and forth until a person put their hands on our table. We looked up to see trout looking at us. Oops, I meant Trent.

"You know, I can hear everything that you're saying," Trent said, looking pissed.

"We were discussing fishing techniques," I reasoned, making Larissa giggled. I stifled my laughter, but it was hard.

Trent leaned towards us. "Be careful who you make fun of because you never know when they might snap," Trent said in an inaudible voice.

"Chill, dude. You take everything way too seriously," Larissa mentioned.

Trent looked at Larissa. "And you don't take things seriously enough or did you not learn from your last school. It would be a shame if people knew your dirty little secret," Trent threatened, confusing me and making Larissa stop smiling.

Trent stood erect and looked at us.

"Enjoy your joke. I'm sure it's funny," Trent said with strangeness to his tone. He walked away as I sat there. I glanced at Larissa as she fidgeted in her spot.

"What was that?" I asked Larissa.

"It's nothing. Trent is talking out of his ass. Excuse me; I need to use the bathroom," Larissa said, getting up and leaving.

Why do I have a feeling people are hiding shit from me? Thanks, Brandon, you schmuck.

Trent came back to the table and sat down, looking pissed off.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked curiously.

Trent sat there, then looked at me and smiled. "Nothing, I was having a moment, but I'm good," he mentioned.

"So, what was the conversation you had with Casey and Larissa?" I questioned.

"Oh, that? Nothing," Trent answered, blowing me off. Then he put his hand on mine. "Don't worry about it. We'll talk later."

"Okay," I said, not thinking about it. I knew Trent had mood swings. He told me that sometimes he gets upset. We argued a few times, but he assured me that it was a bad day.

Today, I would find out about Trent's bad days.

I splashed cold water on my face in the girl's bathroom, then grabbed a paper towel, and dried off. I took two deep breaths and calmed down. I left the bathroom to find Casey waiting for me.

"Are you scoping out the girl's bathroom?" I asked, making a joke.

"No, I came to see if you were okay," Casey mentioned.
