Casey
Do you know how you think things go and they go in the opposite direction? That would be my life. I found Trout at school and had words. Okay, I had many talks. Most you can't repeat because well, they're not great.
Trout didn't deal with just me but got Andrew too. Andrew made a point of threatening the parasite that he would break his legs. It wouldn't disappoint me if Andrew did that, but I would need popcorn.
The problem is someone took matters into their hands when they beat the hell out of Trout. I would find this out when Larissa and I took an excursion to deliver punishment to Trout.
We spent time scoping out his movements. People would consider this stalking. I believe it an intricate form of spying. We figured out Trout's actions and went to confront him except found Trout on the ground beaten to a pulp.
"Did we do damage and not know it?" Larissa asked me.
"I think you have to plan better than what we did since we suck at spying," I answered, looking at Larissa.
We heard footsteps and dove into the bushes.
"Christ on a bike," Mack huffed. We popped up from the bushes, scaring the shit out of Mack. "When did you two play pop goes the weasels in the bushes?" Mack asked us.
I jumped out of the bushes, tripping, and falling onto the ground.
"Will you get Grace up?" Mack ordered Larissa. Larissa helped me up as we heard someone walking. The three of us looked at each other and scattered. Mack grabbed Larissa and me, yanking us behind a building. "I swear you two would land us in the clink," Mack whispered.
We peered around the corner of the building to see Andrew walk up. Mack rolled his eyes and left out an inconspicuous hiding spot. Well, not really, since anyone could see us.
We followed Mack as he walked over to Andrew. He stopped, and we crashed into Mack's back. Mack glanced at us. "Do you two mind? Do I look like a teddy bear?" He asked.
"Well," I said.
"Hug me, and I will string you up by your underwear," Mack warned.
Note to self, don't hug Mack. I don't enjoy atomic wedgies.
"What are you doing here?" Mack asked Andrew.
"I could ask you the same thing. Why are Casey and Larissa here?" Andrew asked, looking at us.
"Well, we thought if there were two of us, then we had better odds against Trout," I reasoned.
"Well, that's dumb," Mack informed me.
"Two against one is better than one against one," I mentioned.
Mack rolled his eyes. "You're not a gambler, and the odds aren't in your favor," Mack told me.
I shrugged.
"Now, what do we do with this parasite?" Mack asked, looking at Trout on the ground, beaten to a pulp.
"Nothing, except explain which one of you did it," someone said. We turned to see the light shining on us. The person lowered the light, revealing two cops standing there. Yep, we're going to jail.
"Well, my moms can't say that I don't follow the legacy of my family," Larissa commented.
We looked at Larissa and rolled our eyes. I can hear it now. Ty will cry, and Gavin will make some stupid remark. Yep, life is grand at the moment.
********
We sat in the jail cell waiting for people to spring us. The problem with this scenario is the people who came to bail us out.
"Mackenzie Sayer Bennett," Paige yelled as we saw her standing there with Bella, my dads, and Larissa's moms.
