For spring break, we went with Larissa to join her cousins along with her Aunt and Uncle. I thought our family was big. My family had nothing on Larissa's family.

I met most of the family at Christmas. We knew Presley, but Coop didn't meet the others. He drooled over Paxton Gray. Hell, I would drool over him if I swung that way, which I didn't.

I had to keep Coop from pissing off Cody. Yeah, this would be a fun vacation. The best thing was when her cousins cornered me - all eight of them.

"What are your intentions with our baby cousin?" Payton asked.

"You're not mistreating her, are you?" Parker asked.

"Yeah, we don't like that behavior," Patton said, cracking his knuckles as Paxton nodded.

"If you hurt Larissa, we hurt you," Matthew reasoned.

"It's a shame if you do that," Markus added.

"Break her heart, we break your head," Presley mentioned.

"That would be fun," Mason smirked.

"Okay, not sure why they need to interrogate me, but I have no intention of hurting Larissa. Did anyone ever tell you that you're crazy?" I asked.

"All the damn time," Kaxon mentioned.

Everyone looked at Kaxon strangely. He shrugged. Larissa's Uncle Lex walked into the house and shook his head. "Okay, knock it off. We didn't come here for everyone to make trouble. Now find something to do with yourselves that don't include anything unholy," Lex told everyone.

The guys grumbled as I stood there. They left as I shook my head.

"Ignore my sons and nephews. They get into enough shit for anyone. I heard you're good to my niece," Lex mentioned.

"Larissa's great. A little crazy, but great," I mentioned, making Lex chuckle.

"Welcome to my world," Lex said as I gave him a look. I can see this will be an exciting trip.

I stood looking at the ocean as I felt someone lift me off my feet.

"Put me down, Payton!" I yelled, making Payton chuckled. He set me down, and I turned to face my dipshit cousins.

"I swear," I grumbled.

"Don't let Uncle Nixon hear you swear," Parker mentioned.

I gave Parker an annoyed look. My cousins are dipshits. We talked for a while; then, they scattered as Matthew stayed with me. We went walking along the beach.

"So, you know about my dad," I mentioned.

Matthew glanced at me.

"It's not weird or anything, is it?" I asked.

Matthew chuckled. "No, I get it. My dad helps people," he answered.

"I'm sorry that I took his time when you went through your heartbreak," I apologized.

"Don't be sorry," Matthew told me.

We stopped, and I looked at Matthew.

"Larissa, all of us go through situations that we don't expect. My dad understands where most people don't," Matthew reasoned.

"I don't see Uncle Michael, as much as a dad. I have two great parents," I reasoned, smiling.

"We all do," Matthew agreed.
