Casey
My dads released me from solitary confinement to spend time with Mariana. We went to lunch, and I explained what happened. She laughed, nothing new there.
"You seem to like this girl," Mariana mentioned while we ate.
"Larissa's different. She's not like the girls we go to school with," I replied.
"Good, because those girls are hoes," Mariana said, surprising me. "They were hoes when I went to school. I'm sure you could make a garden with how many hoes there are."
I laughed. "What about Brila and Bella?" I asked.
"They're not hoes, besides Bella was oblivious to the fact that Ty was gay, and Andrew had a thing for her," Mariana answered.
"How does that work?" I questioned.
"For Bella, easy," Mariana said, rolling her eyes. "I told her to confess her undying love for Ty and Andrew thwarted my plans. Then again, that's a good thing. I'm not sure it would have worked out of Ty and Bella got together, and he came out."
"Is it true you hate Ty?" I asked curiously.
"I don't hate Ty, but I didn't like how he treated Bella. Then again, I didn't know he swung for the same team. That would have saved everyone issues if he admitted he was gay," Mariana reasoned.
That made sense to me. Then again, I watched Andi and Brandon dance around their feelings. I'm still mad at that schmuck for running off to college.
"Back to this girl," Mariana mentioned.
"What about her?" I asked.
"Well, you got jealous when you thought she took an interest in another guy. You got suspended for her a few times. Is there a reason you're not declaring your undying love for her?" Mariana asked.
I looked at Mariana like she was insane. "We're friends," I answered.
"Yeah, and so what? The best lovers come from friendship. Look at Kevin and me, we love all over the place," Mariana said, grinning.
"That's disturbing," I retorted.
"Eh, it works for us," Mariana said, shrugging.
The last thing I wanted to do is discuss Larissa with Mariana. It always turns into something sexual and disturbing with Mariana when she mentions a girl with me. I don't even want to talk to my dads about sex, and they're dying to tell. Yeah, I'll pass.
I spent the rest of the day with Mariana and avoiding the topic of Larissa. I went home after my day out and talked to Gavin and Ty. That's the thing about my family, we talk about everything, well almost everything.
Monday arrived, and I went back to school. When I got to school, Larissa and I saw each other. We ran towards each, hit a wet spot on the floor, and slid past each other. I crashed into a half wall, falling over it. Larissa crashed into the banshees at school.
"Oops, my bad, not really," Larissa said, getting off of them. She found me lying on the floor next to the half wall. She leaned over it and looked at me. "Why are you lying on the floor?"
"I thought I would take a siesta," I answered. Larissa held out her hand, and I took it as she helped me up.
"Where's Coop? Are you two joined at the hip?" Larissa asked me, sitting on the half wall. I leaned on it.
"I went to pick Coop up, and Andrew said he left with Trent," I answered.
Larissa looked at me strangely. I shrugged. A few minutes later, we saw Coop walked down the hallway with Trent.
