4. Rule #3

"First of all, I would like to state the house rules of this class."

Sinubukan kong magfocus sa lecture ni Mr. Cruz subalit ang utak ko ngayon ay paulit-ulit na nagtatanong sa'king isipan kung bakit ako andito at ano ang ginagawa ko rito?

Do I even belong here in the first place?

"Rule #1. Of course, no lates and absences. Your tardiness may be considered valid if you have a valid excuse. 5 lates is equivalent to suspension for 1 week. Kapag inulit ang nasabing violation ay madadagdagan ng another week ang inyong suspension, and so on. " paliwanag ni Mr. Cruz sabay sulat sa nakapaskil na white board ang nabanggit na rules.

"Rule #2. No talking while I'm discussing here in front. Siyempre we all know na nakakabastos sa part ko kung nag-uusap kayo diyan habang nagdidiscuss ako rito. Anyone caught talking will replace me here in front at sila ang ipapa-discuss ko nang topic natin for the day. "

"Last but not the least, rule #3..."

Pansin ko naman sa parteng ito ay saglit na tumigil si Mr. Cruz sa pagsusulat sa board at sa pagsasalita tsaka isa-isa kaming pinasadahan ng tingin.

"Anything discussed on this classroom, in my office, or on the facilities within the restricted area, should only remain here and there. In other words, you are not allowed to tell ANYONE, I repeat, ANYONE... about the things that we discussed in this section. "

"Alpha Section is considered to be a top secret group organized by the school, so all information about it are considered as highly classified information."

Sa pinaka-last na rule talaga napukaw ang aking atensyon. Kaya pala limited lang ang nalalaman ng mga estudyante outside of this section tungkol sa mga Alpha Students, at ito'y dahil sa rule na ito. Most of it are base pa sa mga haka-haka lamang.

"Anyone caught disobeying the said rule will be expelled from this class. Do I make myself clear? " mariin niyang pagkaka-discuss sa part na ito, halatang gusto niyang bigyan ng emphasis ang rule na ito among other rules that were mentioned.

"Yes sir." sabay-sabay naming sabi.

"Good. Now before going to our next topic, do you have any questions about our rules?"

Pinasadahan kami ni Mr. Cruz ng kanyang tingin, and eventually his gaze landed sa taong nagtaas ng kanyang kanang kamay kaya sinenyasan niya itong magsalita.

"How about, no losers allowed here? Do we have a rule for that?" sabi ng bukod-tanging mayabang na nilalang sa klase na ito. May mga mangilan-ngilang tumawa kahit na it is not meant to be a joke, but it is an obvious sarcasm or an insult.

"Enough Warren!" badtrip namang saway sa kanya ni Mr. Cruz kaya tumigil na sa pagtawa 'yung mga nasa side niya and nakita ko lang siyang napakibit-balikat lamang.

Napailing na lang ako. It was clearly meant for me.

"If you don't have any serious questions, let's proceed. I would like to tell Mr. Magbanua here, who is the newest member of this section, that you'll still have your regular classes in your respective classrooms sa inyong previous sections. Pupunta lang kayo rito para sa'ting special training class which falls on your first period, every 6:30am. " paliwanag niya sabay tingin sa'king kinauupuan. Napatango na lang ako in response. Pero what the heck, 6:30 am talaga?!

"By the way, before I forget, I just want to let you know that fourth floor of this building is exclusive only for the Alpha Students. Mayroon na ditong state of the art library, comfort rooms, computer lab, audio visual room, and gymnasium- for anyone who likes to workout. You can access all of these facilities anytime you want as long as you have your IDs. It will serve as your access cards so just swipe it on the code detectors on every doors, and even here sa classroom ninyo. " paliwanag niya pa.
