As we walked to my house it was rather cold and I didn't hesitate to say that I was cold.
"Holy Squit it's cold!" I said through my chattering teeth. Hachi looked at me like he saw the most horrific thing in his life.
"What?! What's going on? Who scared you?" I questioned him.
"D-Did you just say the S word?" Hachi stuttered. He covered his mouth.
"Squit?" I questioned.
He nodded and looked at me as if I had splatted someone permanently.
"Y/n, that's such a horrible word, why would you say that?" Hachi asked as he looked down at his shoes.
'Oh Zapfish. I forgot how Squiting pure he is.'
"Oh Hachi, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you or taint your pureness." I apologized.
"It's okay Y/n. Just I don't like it when people use that language. It just can bring many inklings and octolings down." He said looking up.
"Hachi, I promise I will try and not say any horrible words." I said looking at him.
"You promise?" He asked.
"I promise." I smiled.
"How do you seal your promise?" He asked.
"Um.... I don't know.." I said, thinking of a way to promise.
As I began to think he gasped.
"I know of a way to keep your promise!" He smiled.
"Okay, which is how?" I asked, a bit curiously.
He said nothing and walked to me and leaned in and whispered into my ear.
"A pinky promise." He spoke.
My face was a f/c. I believe that he would have kissed me. So foolish of me.
"O-Oh of course! He-"
I was cut off by Hachi grabbing my hand and holding it and held out his pinky.
"With this pinky, do you promise never to say those words again?" He asked, holding out his pinky.
"I promise I won't say those words again." I smiled.
I linked my pinky with his and he showed his asymmetric teeth.
"Perfect now to take you home!" He said holding my hand.
I gladly took his and began to walk down the street with a good friend.
'I could dream for him to be my boyfriend.'
