Ok quick thank you for over 200 reads! Even if it's the same people re-reading, I'm glad people have found my humble little fic and supported it! Here's the next chapter:
Turning away from Hinata's wide eyes dramatically, Noya pointed to an even more shook-looking Kageyama. "Hey! You, the tall one with the mean stare! That was a killer serve! What middle school are you from.
Y/N snickered with Yamaguchi who had appeared along with his salty friend not too long ago.
"...Kitagawa Daiichi." Tobio stared, not in any way disrespectfully, but rather with a strong curiosity. His upperclassman smiled even wider and continued to talk with his energetic flair.
"WOW! That school's for seriously elite players! No wonder you could serve like that, though I remember there was someone else from Kitagawa Daiichi who could serve even better!"
Tobio asked in return, "Nishinoya-san, which middle school are you from?" To which he replied Chidoriyama. Kageyama nodded, "That's a strong school, so why did you choose Karasuno? Was it because you heard Coach Ukai was coming back as well?"
"No..." His face darkened as he said with utmost seriousness. "It's because the girls' uniforms are right up my alley."
Y/N smirked as the other two first years talking with Noya looked absolutely lost, as if they heard wrong.
He chatted happily with Kageyama, Hinata, and Y/N who decided to join in on his animated lecture on uniforms and cute girls at Karasuno.
Then, when the gym's entrance slowly creaked open, Noya turned to see who had entered and his eyes turned to stars.
"KKKIIIIIIYYOOOOOKKOOOOO-SANNNNNNN!!!!" He ran to the older girl and she bristled at once, reflexively slapping as hard as she could after he leaped towards her.
Daichi and Suga simply said in unison, "He blows in like a tempest as usual." The statement made even Chikara, Kinoshita, and Narita chuckle on the side.
Nishinoya looked around, still smiling despite the bright red slap mark across his smooth face.
"Hey.... Where's Asahi?"
Silence. Y/N glanced back at Suga and Chikara as she wanted to know as well. With a simple response, both slightly shook their heads to confirm her suspicion.
Y/N grew angry. Apparently so did Noya, as he yelled. "That absolute coward!"
Tanaka worriedly spoke up. "Oi... That's no way to talk about your senpai."
"Urusai!" The shorter boy's breathing became sharp and ragged. "A coward will be a coward, screw age."
And with a final declaration, Nishinoya swept his uniform jacket over his shoulder. "I'm not coming back until he does."
And as fast as he came, Nishinoya Yuu was gone.
Hinata looked troubled, and Daichi-san noticed it as well. "Y/N-chan, take Hinata and go talk with Nishinoya. I have a feeling you guys would give Nishinoya a sense of responsibility that he knows he owes to the team."
The mentioned two nodded and started to walk out when Tsukishima tapped Y/N so lightly, nobody around them could notice. Before Y/N could even turn around, he whispered quickly, "Can we talk later?" Then nudged her out the door, bewildered and trapped with a strange twisty feeling in her stomach, like she had just plunged down a roller coaster.
It was Shoyo's sugar-sweet tone that brought her back to reality as he told her, "We should go before we lose him, En-Y/N?"
She snapped back and nodded, and the two jogged to find Nishinoya, unaware of the blazing golden stare that burned into their backs.
While they looked around, Hinata suddenly remembered that he wanted to ask Y/N a question that had been on his mind during the Seijoh match. With that ever-so-innocent sparkle in his eyes, he turned to the troubled looking girl. "Y/N-chan, after you talked with Kageyama at the match, and the Daio-sama did... well I don't really know what he did,"
Hinata's rambling was endearing and it made Y/N crack a small smile unconsciously. She was unprepared for the question itself.
"So... what I'm trying to say is... Is Tsukishima your boyfriend or something? He seemed jealous..."
The smile slowly faded, and Y/N slowly opened her mouth but no words came out.
The answer is no. No. NO. No...? But...why...?
A movement caught the corner of Y/N's eye, and grateful for the distraction, she gestured to Hinata. "Shoyo, he's over there. Let's go..." She muttered quickly, and the boy's attention span ran out as he pulled her along in his happy skip over to talk with Noya.
"Ah!" The girl made the strange sound in surprise. and Nishinoya turned to her and Shoyo, startled.
"Oh, Y/N-ie, you're here? And what's this one's name?" Noya stared.
Hinata smiled happily, and flashing a peace sign, he said, "Hinata Shoyo! You must be Karasuno's libero!"
This received a wary look from the older male, but Y/N knew to keep calm because Shoyo's natural charm was sure to work at any moment. "...Why do you say that, because I'm short?"
"No, because you're amazing at receives! Liberos are known for their defensive skills." Hinata vigorously shook his head side to side, orange curls bouncing.
Y/N and Nishinoya smirked at the enthusiasm. The elder of them said, "You really know your stuff, huh?"
Y/N nodded. "Daichi-san called you our Guardian Deity."
This cracked Nishinoya's default defense mode. He seemed in a self war with his mind, and his embarrassment was Y/N's jackpot.
"I'm still awful at receives..." Hinata sadly said, head drooping. "And it's the most important aspect of volleyball."
Seeing a perfect chance, Y/N swooped into the conversation once more. "Noya. Why don't you teach Shoyo receiving, it'll also be good practice for you, right?"
Hinata jerked up, happily, and he bowed deeply. "Please teach me... Nishi-" Y/N joined the bow, her hair moving with the new position.
"NISHINOYA-SENPAI!!!!!"
A/N:
Well that's all for now, I'll post a formal apology for not updating later, but right now, thank you for reading Tsundere! I finally got to write, despite me slightly losing motivation, but I want the few readers I have to have some content! I know I've run out of some good fanfictions myself, so here you go!
Yes, I decided to be lazy and leave on a cliffhanger (BTW the first beat drop of Fire by BTS played as I finished that sentence and I felt totally savage for a moment yay).
What does Tsukki want to talk about? Will Nishinoya come back? Who is Asahi? Are the precious few readers I have having Tsukishima-withdrawals? Is Author-chan going crazy?
The answers to the last two are They are supposed to, and yes.
Vote and comment on enjoyable parts!
