It's been over a month now since Y/N decided to transfer back to Nekoma. She wasn't doing it to escape from Kei, but over her time at Karasuno she'd realized that her mother's story (as upsetting as it was) shouldn't affect her any longer. She moved in with Kenma who'd been living alone since he started second year of high-school.
After just two weeks of constant exams to catch up with the curriculum there, Y/N emerged as the top of her class and then went on to win the month long transfer program to the United States. She left with a short goodbye, then left to study. She's happier now, her skin and body are now things she's proud of rather than constantly fearing and hiding. While Y/N knows now that there isn't a concrete perfect, she values herself enough so that she holds herself near to her own definition.
Amazing what getting over past struggles does to someone's happiness. Y/N had actually started going to counselling frequently to relieve some of the outbursts of anxiety she'd get from time to time. And halfway through her time abroad, Semi Eita started texting her again. So she texted back.
And that soon got to where they were closer than friends, when just a week before Y/N came back, he asked if they could date. And she accepted with no regret.
There was no reason to hold back at all, since Y/N let all the things that caused her stress in the past. She valued herself, so Y/N would put herself first. When Y/N came back from the airport, there the third year setter was, along with Tetsurou, Kenma, and Haiba Lev (a friend she'd made that was her age), waiting for her arrival.
Y/N was surrounded by love and comfort, and her academic level was going forward well enough so that she was preparing well for being able to formulate what she wanted to do for college and stuff.
Kenma had ended up finding out when he was looking for the whereabouts of Y/N's father is that after he'd run away from home, something something about a gambling addiction, he'd ended up with a huge win and then died the next morning. There was a whole deep story but the point is, after they found his will, Y/N was credited in all his winnings. Not to mention the mother's will as well which they'd finally gone and now, she was r i c h.
One might just say all was going perfectly well for Y/N now. Doing well financially, all healthy relationships, and comfort in her own skin.
Well when she was on her third or fourth date with Eita face to face, he said. "Well the finals for the prefecture tournament are tomorrow."
"Yep! I'll be there watching." Y/N smiled as she took a sip of her warm orange tea. "You're playing Seijoh again?"
"Actually," He said something a bit quieter.
"Eita, you can say it a bit louder." She giggled at his sudden shyness, passing it as nervousness.
"Well you see it's just that-" Semi turned to look back at her eyes glowing with anticipation.
"Karasuno."
Y/N smiled absently. "Oh that's nice. Wait. As in like-"
Her smile dropped for the first time since she'd come back.
"You really don't have to come all the way, Tokyo is nice as it is." Semi tried to give her words of comfort but she waved it off.
"No, I'll watch."
Her once bright eyes were now darkening.
"But I'll be there for you. No matter the past."
A/N:
Hey hey hey! So I'm back a bit sooner that I thought but be sure to recognize that a ton has happened for Y/N in good ways, so yeah. A more secure Y/N and yet a dark past about to resurface.
What happened to Kei? What was Y/N doing with Semi so fast? How did Kenma find her dad's will? Will Author-chan post a face reveal? What about the rest of Y/N's harem? What the heck happened with Yamaguchi's notebook?
All these questions will be fulfilled in due time.
Also tysm for 10k I feel special now uwu
