There wasn't a single response to Y/N's answer, everyone had just assumed it was Tsukishima who had our protagonist's first kiss. After all, she had stolen his.

Hinata asked first, "The rooster-head guy? How'd that happen?!" Kageyama thwacked the back of the little spiker's head really hard, nervously glancing at Tsukishima who appeared to be calm. Unfortunately, his eyes burned with the darkest of golden flames, giving him away to Yamaguchi at once.

Y/N also noticed and smiled up at her lover. "Don't worry, it was an accident." Kei looked at her, her guard let down and she smiled as bright as Hinata, except this one didn't irritate him. Instead, Tsukishima Kei had finally softened to someone.

Seeing that Kei hadn't responded against the story, she explained. "When I was in my first year of middle school, I didn't really know many people. In grade school, I much preferred calling Chikara after school than making friends and having play dates. I was late to go home that day because I had forgotten an assignment so I stayed back to finish."

"I had walked outside, and coming back there was this small field where two boys, both older had set up a volleyball net which looked really intriguing. It was at the bottom of a hill, and I wanted to go check it out. So I ran down the hill, and recognized that they were my senpai from the middle school, as they had their uniforms on the side of their gym bags, and were wearing exercise clothes." Y/N chuckled faintly.

"The shorter, younger of the two, you would know him as Kozume Kenma, the setter for Nekoma, immediately saw an opportunity to go home. So he pushed me to the net, and gesturing to the elder, Kuroo Tetsurou, he said, 'Teach her to set. I'm going.'"

Hinata and Kageyama perked up at the mention of the setter, and everyone anticipated something to go down after hearing Tetsurou's name.

"So he showed me a bunch of basic sets which I could manage really well in a short amount of time. But one toss, I accidentally slipped, and the toss went really close to where I was. Tetsurou didn't notice, and he hit the ball nicely, but then he landed, and he fell over. Right into me. Our faces accidentally met," Y/N glanced at Kei, smiling to herself.

"But I ended up slapping him and calling him a pervert, then running back home really upset." Kei sighed softly that his girlfriend really was perfect in every way he could imagine and that he really had nothing to worry about.

It was late now, and the conversation and game had come to a close. Yamaguchi saw something pop up on his phone, and looked upset for a second. "Hey... Y/N?" The girl nodded, already back to normal. "Something came up at home, I can't go there today. Is it fine if I stay over? I thought this would happen so I have my toothbrush and stuff."

Y/N nodded really fast. "Of course! If you guys want to stay over as well we can just have a little sleepover. It's the weekend already anyways."

So that was how Kei ended up lying down in the Ennoshita's spacious living room with Yamaguchi hugging him like a pillow in his sleep.

The lanky blond sighed. As usual, insomnia had taken over again. Well, might as well check some notifications... He thought.

He scrolled through his Instagram, and seeing posts he was mentioned in, he clicked on a certain photo that stood out. It was him staring ahead, purple lights pulsing all around him.

The concert..? Kei checked the username of who posted the picture and smiled. It was Y/N's handle, of course. The description was short and sweet, reading:

"Doesn't he look gorgeous? I swear @ tsukishima.kei has a secret skincare routine or something nobody just looks THAT good T^T. He's mine tho so I'm happy about that 😻my own Kami-sama!"

There was no hashtags, just his username. He had already liked the post before, but rereading her cheesy words at midnight hit different.

Just then, a small ping sounded, marking a text message. Tsukishima wondered who was texting this late, but then remembered he had no place to talk.

Clicking on the message, he gasped softly. "No...."

- Time Skip to the day after -

Again, the school day had seemed to fly by too fast. The work was easy to Y/N anyways, because she'd taken lessons when she lived in Tokyo. The final bell rang, and Y/N tapped Yamaguchi on the shoulder so they could go.

Kei walked beside his two friends, a nervous feeling settling into his stomach that had been appearing frequently since a couple days ago.

Y/N noticed he was being distant, same with Tadashi. But the green-haired male just told Y/N he got like that sometimes, that it was normal.

And our lovely protagonist didn't want to push Tsukishima. Of course she was concerned for him, but she thought that he could handle it. If he needed her help she trusted that Kei would talk with her about it.

But that was besides the point. Y/N also had something to do that day. Iwaizumi had put Y/N's number in his phone and they agreed to meet after both of their team practices. After all, what better way to clear one's mind than helping a nice size of their team's mortal enemy find love?

So both Kei and Y/N kept a fair distance from each other during volleyball practice. It wasn't too hard to do, because Daichi had ended up pushing all the players harder this time as a way of recovering from the loss at the IH prelims. The only contact that came between them was after Y/N handed him his water bottle and towel with a small, "Good work."

Practice finished a bit later, but everyone's irritation was slowly fading. Karasuno would not lose their spirits again.

Y/N gathered her stuff and realized she left her notebook in the classroom. She jogged to where Chikara was waiting for her and she explained quickly what happened. Chikara sighed, disappointed at her recklessness, but allowed her to run and get it.

The classroom was dark when Y/N entered. The only light that came in was from the sunset as it poured through the windows like liquid flames. She lightly jogged to her desk where her notebook filled with doodles on the cover was safely nestled inside. Y/N sighed in relief, and then something caught her eye from Kei's.

Looking around, hair shaking slightly with the movement, the girl cautiously made her way to his desk. She trusted him, so it wouldn't be anything bad anyways. Right?

It was a slip of paper, hidden deep inside the desk. Y/N's hands trembled sightly as she opened the note. But why? She had nothing to worry about. Nothing... at...

Her heart clenched as she read the words on the paper. It looked to be from the week Tsukishima had "confessed". Using quotes, because apparently, it was fake?

The note had a bunch of people's writing all over it. They were betting on who could take out the top girls in the class. A bright red line was struck through the name Ennoshita Y/N, and people around it said how much they had lost.

"A... bet?" Those lost tears, the very ones Kei had helped her get rid of, were now escaping from her eyes and onto his desk. She crumpled the paper and threw it into his desk.

It really was too good to be true.

A/N:

Second part to the filler. Again just quick thanks for helping me make it this far. In reality, not even 2k reads isn't a lot, but I didn't even expect it to go this far. I really enjoy writing for you guys, and I hope you continue reading!

On that note, I'm considering writing another book soon. I'm hoping to write either a BNHA story or another Haikyuu book, even later on I might make a sequel to this book if it's too many parts.

I'm just happy you guys are reading this when there's a lot more talent out there, yet I'll only keep improving for your enjoyment.

Yours,

Saishimi 💜
