Chapter 34

Seven

Seeing Angelus in my hands with blood in her stomach has gotten me into the most terrifying event in my existence as a demon.

I've been feeling scared lately.  And it became worst after I saw Angelus with her eyes closed and not having response from my shout.

"Damn! Angelus! Wake up!" I shouted at the top of my lungs.

The blood is already coming out from the wound and she hasn't have any response from me. She's unconscious and still breathing. But I doubt everything because she's a mortal and she can't endure this thing.

"Crow! Angelus is not responding!" I shouted at Crow after he killed Simon using his sword.

"Fuck! Why did she took the fucking bullet?!" Crow hissed and looked at Angelus whose blood is all over her shirt.

Her breathings are becoming thin. She has no longer force from her hands which is getting alarming.

"Let's take her to the hospital!" I suggested at Crow.

"I'll prepare the portal."

Hinawakan ko ng mabuti ang kamay ni Angelus habang nakatitig sa walang malay niyang katawan. She's still beautiful, but I know she's in deep pain right now.

We arrived at the hospital and was ushered by a lot of nurses. My bloodless heart is pounding so hard to the point where I could hear it with both of my ears. Hinawakan ko ng mabuti ang kamay niya habang nakahiga siya sa hospital bed at hinihila papunta sa emergency room.

"Sir, hanggang dito nalang po kayo," said the woman and closed the door.

Napasandal ako sa pader at agad na umupo sa sahig. Crow tapped my shoulder before he sat beside me.

"She'll be okay, Angelus will make it," he said and sighed.

I brushed my disheveled hair and leaned on the wall. I closed my eyes and took a very long breathe.

The door opened and I immediately looked at the doctor who went out. He removed his eyeglasses before he spoke.

"Are you the relative?" He asked.

"I'm her boyfriend."

He scratched his nose before he looked at me with a questioning eyes.

"I need to talk to her parents before we proceed to the operation. The bullet should be taken from her before she runs out of blood."

"She's all by herself now, her grandparents died years ago. She's with me, please do the operation immediately," I said.

The doctor nodded and guided me to fill up some papers. He went back  and they transferred Angelus to the operating room. Crow helped me with the papers and we immediately paid some money.

I keep on walking side by side in front of the operating room while waiting for the operation to be done. Crow is sitting as his eyes are glancing at me.

"Can you calm down?" He asked.

"I can't, I'm worried."

Angelus shouldn't die yet. She still need to live and fulfill her dreams. I can't afford to see her soul.

After hours of waiting, the doctor went out and smiled at me.

"She's stable now, the bullet has been removed and we gave her blood to stabilize the circulation. Good thing you took her here immediately," he said.
