Chapter 32

Seven

The rain is still pouring outside. There are still lots of students roaming around the school and I'm getting bored as hell.

I silently watched Angelus from where I am standing. She's in line with her friends and they're happily chatting with each other. Some students are looking at me and most of them are girls. I felt a little anxious, but I managed to not give a fuck and just stared at Angelus.

After an hour of waiting, they finally approached me with two guys behind them.

"Mauna na kayo guys, may pupuntahan pa kasi kami ni Seven," said Angelus.

"Hindi ba pwedeng sumama?" Gwen asked. She's still giving me weird glances.

"Bakit ka naman sasama? Part ka ng family, girl?" Michael countered her.

Gwen rolled her eyes but she smiled after I caught her eyes. Then the guy earlier took Angelus' hand.

"Kita nalang tayo sa first day?" He said.

Angelus nodded and took her hands away from the guy. Bumaling ang tingin niya sa akin at hinawakan ang balikat ko.

"Mauna na kami," she said and bid her goodbyes.

Michael and Gwen waved their hands while the guys are just staring at us. Paglabas namin sa school ay agad kaming tumakbo sa bus stop. I gave her my jacket para hindi siya mabasa.

"Bad timing naman nitong ulan, balak ko pa naman sanang manuod ng sunset sa seaside," she murmured.

There are mortals here in the bus stop and I'm sure they're also waiting for the bus. The rain poured hardly kaya napa-atras kami ni Angelus. A cold wind came through and it sent shivers in my skin. Angelus wiggled her body and she's obviously cold.

"Just wear the jacket," I told her.

"Ikaw? Sayo 'yan eh, baka sabihan mo pa akong buraot," she insisted.

I let out a smirk and let her wear my jacket. Nabigla pa siya ng kaunti dahil sa paghila ko ng kamay niya para maisuot niya ang jacket. Some girls are giggling behind us kaya napatingin si Angelus sa kanila. They're probably thinking that we are couples or something like that.

A smile formed in my lips and I don't know why I felt happy all of a sudden.

"Tara na," Angelus said after a bus arrived.

"You first," I said and took her hands para alalayan siya sa pag-akyat.

We seated at the center and she's beside the window. She became entertained by the droplets outside and I can feel her happiness. I smiled a little and kept on watching her.

Minutes later, she fell asleep and her head is leaning on the window. I shook my head in disbelief. Kahit saan talaga nakakatulog siya. She looks so relaxed and at the same time, tired. I took her head and rested it on my shoulder. I smiled and rested my head from behind so I could also close my eyes.

It was already night when we arrived at home. The rain is still pouring but it's no longer hard unlike earlier. Angelus is trembling because of the cold breeze and she immediately opened the door and went inside. Crow looked at us for a moment before he smiled.

"What took you so long?" He asked.

"Traffic," Angelus answered while removing her shoes.

I took the jacket from her hands and throw it at Crow. Hinubad ko na rin ang suot kong sapatos at mabilis na umupo. The seat inside the bus is too small for me and I feel uncomfortable. Isabay mo pa ang mabigat na ulo ni Angelus.
