Chapter 16

Seven

Dorphy is already tired after the umpteenth attempt of her spell. We are here for almost two weeks and until now we always end up having no progress.

Crow is very impatient already and he badly want to go home. But I insisted that we still need to have some answers before we head back. I need to find Eight before Aisthus finds her. I don't want Angelus to be involved in this fuck up mess that I am dealing.

"Wala talaga?" Crow asks again to Dorphy.

Dorphy shook her head in disappointment. She couldn't find any answer of Eight's whereabouts.

"Something is blocking my spell. Malakas ang kapangyarihan kaya hindi ko alam kung paano lalabanan," Dorphy said and tried another ingredient. "I always end up having the mortal's scenics."

"Angelus?" Crow asks.

"Yes," says Dorphy and sat on her chair.

"What about her?" Tanong ko.

"Well, my pot doesn't give me false informations. Maybe that mortal is somehow connected to your mess," sagot ni Dorphy sa akin.

I pursed my lips and tried to analyze the situation. Aisthus knows about Eight's smoke signals. Probably he throws me to Angelus' house for some reason. Pero ano? Is Eight there before I came? Anong connection ni Angelus? It makes no sense. Angelus is  a mere mortal.

"Let's get some help from my sister," says Dorphy and stood up.

"You have a sister?" Crow asks abruptly.

"Yes, she's near here. She can probably help," aniya at kinuha ang mahaba niyang walis.

Dorphy removed the fire in the fire pit and hid her ingredients. The house became empty all of a sudden. Witches like her likes to hid things especially their possessions.

Mabilis kaming lumabas ng bahay niya. The dark forest welcomed us with void feelings. The wind blew and it made the leaves dance in unison. Dorphy is now riding her little transportation and it seems like her broom is really for her.

"How long would it take until we get there?" Crow asked.

Dorphy laughed and looked at Crow.

"Why such an impatient demon, Crow? Just enjoy the walk," sagot sa kanya ni Dorphy.

Umiling nalang si Crow at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad.

I tried to strengthen my senses while walking. Baka may bigla nalang sumugod sa amin na demon hunter sa kalagitnaan ng paglalakad namin at mapahamak pa kami.

It took us thirty minutes of walking---well Dorphy is riding her broom, until we saw the same house like Dorphy's. Mas maganda nga lang ang mga halaman dito sa kapatid niya at ibat-iba pa ang kulay. Maliwanag din dahil may ilaw.

We arrived at her front yard and Dorphy immediately went down from her broom.

"Dawn!" Dorphy shouted and it caused some birds to flee.

The door opened and a very enchanting girl went out. She's also wearing a fine white dress. She immediately went to Dorphy and hugged her tightly. I wonder how does she looks like in her original face?

"What brought you here, Dorphy? And who's these two gorgeous demons?" she asked with her melodramatic voice.

"Oh, this is Crow. A handsome crossroad demon," tinuro ni Dorphy si Crow kaya tumango siya. "And this is Seven, a messenger from hell," tinuro ako ni Dorphy kaya tumango rin ako sa kapatid niya.
