Seven

"Damn, Demon! Focus! Anong nangyayari sayo?" malakas na tanong ni Crow sa akin habang iniilagan namin ang mga bala galing sa isang demon hunter.

We've been fighting for almost half an hour at hanggang ngayon ay hindi namin siya napapatay. This demon hunter is not just a hunter. He's one of those hunters who killed hundreds of demons using his gun.

Nagtago kami ni Crow sa mga puno para hindi niya kami matamaan. We got lost inside a forest and unfortunately, we encountered this demon hunter. It's very dark here but we have our senses to help us.

"What's bothering you? Kanina ka pa lutang!" sigaw niya sa akin.

We heard the hunter's laugh from a distance. Mukhang nasisiyahan ito sa paglalaro sa amin.

"I don't know," I said lowly.

Crow hissed. He's not convinced.

"If you can't focus in this damn mission, then after we killed this hunter, we'll go back home."

Mabilis na nawala si Crow sa harap ko dahil agad siyang lumipad paitaas gamit ang malaki niyang pakpak. He can speed up kapag nakalabas ang pakpak niya dahil diyan nagmumula ang lakas namin.

Napunta kay Crow ang atensyon ng hunter kaya kinuha ko itong oportunidad para atakihin siya. I immediately traveled from a short distance towards him using my agility and speed. I grabbed his necklace and throw it away. The hunter was shocked and he immediately pointed the gun at me. But before he can shoot my head, Crow is already behind him and he gave him the death that he's been prying.

The hunter died because of suffocation.

His face is all violet because of Crow's nylon that he pierced through his neck. Kinuha ko ang baril na dala niya at inilagay ko ito sa likod ko. I could use this gun for our safety. Although safety is not really for us because of the danger ahead.

"We should've killed this fucking hunter minutes ago if you only had your senses! What the fuck is wrong with you, demon? You've been pretty occupied since last week!" Crow shouted at me.

Napaupo ako sa mga dahon dahil sa pagsigaw niya. As much as I want to explain it to him, hindi ko parin magawa.

What would I say? That Angelus is bothering my mind for the whole week?

Yes! That mortal is occupying my goddamn mind ever since I went home from her workplace. The sadness in her eyes are keeping me awake every night. I shouldn't have said those words to her.

"Is it Eight?" Crow asks.

Umiling ako.

"The convicted mortal?"

Umiling ulit ako.

"Angelus?"

I didn't moved. Narinig ko ang pag-upo niya sa mga dahon at ramdam ko na anytime ay pwede siyang tumawa. My eyes are fixed to the hunter's cold body like it's the most expensive thing in the world.

"What happened in her workplace, demon? You ignored my question last time. Now tell me," he commanded.

"Crow, you're my fucking apprentice for hell's sake! Stop bossing me!" I shouted at him.

Crow let out a heavy laugh like he heard the funniest joke in the world. He almost rolled his body above these dried twigs and leaves.

"Why the hell are you laughing?" I asked him as he keep on giggling.

"Y-you! Fuck!"

I stood up and left him laughing like a kid. Nahinto naman agad siya sa pagtawa habang sumusunod sa akin.
