Seven

My eyes opened at the middle of the night.

I heard some footsteps towards the balcony of my room and saw Crow leaning there. I went off my bed and approached him. The cold wind embraced me as the moon reflected in my skin.

"Can't sleep?" Crow asks.

"I slept earlier," I replied.

Crow heaved a sigh like he's thinking deeply. Not the typical Crow that I've known for many years.

"What are you thinking, Crow?" tanong ko.

Umayos siya ng tayo at tumingin sa akin.

"What do you see about, Angelus?"

"What do you mean?" I asked curiously.

He gave me a smile and looked up the moon. The sound of silence is taking us into another level of melancholic feelings. I only hear his breathings as the solitude of the night is sailing with us.

"Do you see her as a woman? Or just another mortal?"

"I see her as a mortal woman. Why do you asked?"

He shook his head and remained in silence. I can see different emotions in his body.

"You know that there's something about Angelus. I'm not dumb to not notice how she affects you."

"Well, she's always getting into my nerves and I don't know why."

"You're putting yourself into your own grave, demon. Alam mong hindi pwede," he said and looked at me. "Stop, before it's too late."

Ako naman ngayon ang napailing. I never knew that Crow is thinking about this. I mean, Angelus is a weird mortal, and she always invades my sanity, but I never think of taking it to another level. She's a good woman, and her deeds are clean. If I were a mortal, I would've probably thrown myself to her.

"Go to sleep, you need strength for tomorrow."

Crow left while my mind is boggling. The thoughts of I and Angelus is just too much. This is my first time being with a mortal and I never planned all of this. If things here are meant to happen, then I'm not guilty in thinking all of this. But I know deep inside that there is indeed something going on. Specially that Angelus is invading my whole existence.

"Good morning, love," Angelus said when the morning came.

She's leaning in the island counter as I prepared her breakfast. I learned about frying so I always cook breakfast. I looked at her with a smirk while flipping the pancake.

"Good morning, you're very early for some flirty tricks," I answered.

She giggled and took a sip in her milk.

"Ikaw nagsabi sa akin na sayo ako lalandi 'di ba? Suko ka na?" Hamon niya sa akin.

I shook my head in disbelief. I never knew na ganito siya ka persistent pagdating sa mga ganitong bagay. I was only joking about her flirty habits, but she keeps on calling me with different endearments.

"Baby, pakiabot naman ng ketchup," she said and pointed the red thing.

Kinuha ko iyon at ibinigay sa kanya. She took it and winked at me. I smiled again and tried to concentrate in my food.

"Ikaw ba naglaba ng uniform ko? Paggising ko nakaprepare na sa closet ko lahat," sabi niya at sumubo ng ham.

"Crow must've prepared it for you," I answered casually.
