Chapter 35

Mackenzie's POV:
"Hey guys." I say to Victoria,Michael and Luke as I enter my house.
"Hey, where were you?" Victoria asks.
"I was with Calum, he just dropped me off right now."
"Mmm Calum." Michael says as he smiles to himself, I decide to ignore it.
"Mackenzie can we talk?" Luke blurts out and before I can answer he's already leading me to my room.
"Luke is everything alright?"
"What did Calum tell you? Tell me the truth." Luke says seriously and scared. Why was he scared?
"Nothing really, why?"
"Tell me." Luke grabs me and begs, "Mackenzie please."
"Okay." I say kind of scared of Luke right now, "We talked about you and he told me you really like me and I told him I really liked you too and he said he was happy for me, he was talking you up. Then we started talking about Ruby and the love affair. Poor Calum, he told me he didn't know who the guy was, he didn't get a good look, whoever that guy was I hate him, Ruby and him broke Cal's heart." I watch Luke let out a sigh of relief and he starts to grin really big.
"You really like me? Like a lot?" Luke asks grinning uncontrollably. I nod feeling myself start to blush. "Okay good, I've been meaning to ask you something.." Luke says fumbling his words.
"What is it?" I think I already know what he's going to ask me and my heart is leaping around, my stomach is full of butterflies. I'm so excited!
"What's the netflix password?" He can't be serious right now. Did he really just ask me that? I feel like an idiot for thinking that he would ask me to be his girlfriend.
"It's I love Luke." I say trying not to sound dissappointed.
"All lowercase?"
"Yep." I nod and he awkwardly walks away.
Luke's POV:
Oh my god. I feel like such an idiot right now. Did I really ask her that? I probably screwed up big time, I was going to ask her to be my girlfriend but I panicked at the last minute. Now I'm downstairs awkwardly while she's upstairs, she probably hates me so much right now. I need to make it up to her, I am going to ask her out today, I will. I'm gonna do it in a cute way too, every girl wants to be asked in a cute way. I leave her house and I send her a text.
hi i'm so sorry for that, that wasn't what i meant to ask you..it just kind of slipped out since i panicked. i'll be back so don't go anywhere.

I drive to the nearest supermarket and head into the candy aisle and look for snickers, her favorite chocolate. I get a bag full of them and then make my way over to the electronics, I go straight to the phone case designer machine and I decide to make her a phone case with a picture of us on it, I make myself an identical one and I decide to put todays date on it, 1-1-15. I'll give her this after she says yes because it'll be really awkward if she says no and she has that case with the date on it. After I'm done with that I go to the arts and crafts section and buy a poster and some markers. I also get a pack of index cards and then make my way over to the final stop, the flower section. I buy her some forget-me-nots and I head to my house to set it all up. Okay so I think I'm gonna make a scavenger hunt for her and she'll have to find me and I'll have the poster on me, I think this may be too complicated though so that's where the index cards and snickers will come in handy. I'm going to write her clues on the sticky notes and the snickers will be like hints if she's getting warm or cold. 1 snicker means she's warm, 2 snickers means she's cold. I hope this plan works and I hope it's not too 'gay.' I leave my house with the poster and supplies and make my way over to her house, to make her my girlfriend. I hope.
