Awww! That's so cute! Scottie is so sweet, but I would've never guessed that he hated meeting new people. He's always super social and friendly with everyone.
"Let's go back out now," I replied, "I don't want people to get the wrong idea."
"Like that would ever happen," Parker scoffed. We walked into the living room only to see that Scottie had joined in Stephen and Andrew in playing video games. He looked relatively calm compared to the other two dumbasses next to him.
Sophia was sitting on the love seat next to the couch, Scottie besides her. Stephen and Andrew were sitting on my couch, taking up the entire space, which wasn't that hard since they were giant.
Since all our friends occupied the seats, Parker and I opted to stand behind the couch and watch the game. So far, it looked like Andrew was winning. Which was surprising to me. I thought my friend would've been winning.
We've been playing video games together since we met, although I'm nowhere near as good as Stephen. "AGH! How'd you even make that shot? That's not possible!" he shouted in frustration.
"Maybe not for you, but I've been playing for years. Not my fault you aren't good," Andrew stated, all the while focusing on the game.
"I am good! You're just cheating! I will beat you, no doubt about that," Stephen shot back.
"No you won't," Andrew said calmly. "What are you- THE FUCK? How did that just happen?" Stephen flew off the couch and threw his controller on the ground. "You cheated. That's the only way that could've happened. I demand a rematch. No one beats me and gets away with it."
We all looked around the room, knowing that Stephen won't beat Andrew. Once someone beats him, he gets so worked up and talks so much shit that he forgets to play the actual game, and by that point anyone is capable of beating him.
"I have an idea." I interrupted the boys to stand in front of the TV.
"How about we go out back where the party is supposed to be instead of playing video games. Other people will be arriving soon, so let's hang out back there until then."
It took a few minutes, but I eventually convinced the two boys to come out with the rest of us. It wasn't long before my phone dinged with a text message from one of my teammates.
I had invited them to my party since we're all on a team together, even though we rarely talk outside of practice. I also invited a handful of other people from my other classes, but they all declined saying they were busy.
I checked the group chat and in it all the girls were apologizing for not being able to come. Apparently, they all had something come up. Oh well, it's not like we were super close anyways.
"It looks like this is all that's coming. You can start eating and playing games if you want," I said. They all looked around in confusion. Sophia was the first one to speak up. "What happened? I thought your team mates were coming."
"They can't come anymore apparently."
"Well who cares about them!" Sophia exclaimed. "We can have fun without them. Let's get this party started!" Sophia grabbed a can of pop and opened it like a bottle of champagne and chugged half of it before ripping off her t-shirt and jumping in the pool.
A little dramatic, but that was my best friend. Her motto was go big or go home, very fitting for her personality.
Andrew followed suit, jumping into the pool after slipping off his sandals and shirt. I was a little more careful. Slowly, I took of my suit covering, folded and placed it neatly on a chair near by. When I looked up, I saw 2 boys staring at me.
