The next day at school was just like the rest, hanging out with Sophia and Stephen, going to all my classes, fighting with Parker.

But one thing was different. I had to meet up with Parker after school. Even though the project wasn't due for a couple months, we had come to an agreement that getting it done as quick as possible would be the best solution.

This way, we didn't have to work together any longer than necessary.

Since we didn't have detention anymore, Parker insisted that we meet up at his car. He had also insisted that we work on the project at his house instead of at the library or something, although I don't understand why.

Another thing that was strange was the fact that Parker  was being oddly nice to me, which is weird considering just two days ago I had tackled him to the cafeteria floor. You think he would be plotting his revenge or something, but I guess not.

I still didn't let down my guard, though. I'm not trying to get hit in the face with eggs or something like that.

As I was walking up to his car after school, I saw that he was surrounded by a couple girls. He caught my eye as I approached and winked at me. This caused all the girls to turn around and give me a once over.

They mostly just looked annoyed by my presence before they went back to flirting with Parker. I scoffed at him, because he was just eating it up.

Flirting with these girls, giving them false hope, and then crushing their hearts. He enjoyed it. What kind of monster enjoys breaking girls hearts?

When I finally reached him, he walked around to the passenger side of the car. "Sorry ladies, but I have to go," he said with a hint of sadness in his voice. Of course he was sad to leave them.

"You really are a horrible person you know that?" I told him as I got in his car. God, I can't believe I'm doing this. Getting in my mortal enemy's car. The world has officially come to an end.

I scrunched my nose up in disgust. Is that dirty socks I smell?

"Why?" he asked, completely oblivious to the hatred in my voice.

"You just lead those girls on and then stomp on their hearts without a care in the world. Doesn't it ever get tiring?" I asked. He looked over at me before responding. "In my defense, they know what they are getting in to."

I actually started laughing. Like full on clutching my stomach, wiping the tears from my eyes laughing. "Could you be anymore cliche? At least come up with a better excuse than that," I managed to get out before I fell into another fit of laughter.

Parker glared at me before pressing on the accelerator, speeding out of the parking lot.

Secretly, I was freaking out because of how fast he was going, but I didn't want to let him know that. If he knew I was scared, he would go even faster and I wasn't too keen on crashing and dying in a firey ball of crushed metal.

I gripped the door handle and tried my best not to imagine my imminent death at the hands of Parker.

Soon, but not soon enough, we pulled up to his driveway. "So why are we doing this at your house?" I asked. I knew we needed to start working on the project, but I still didn't understand why we couldn't just go to a library or something.

"If we went to the library, all the girls would fawn over me and keep interrupting our work to flirt with me," he replied in a 'duh' tone. He really had an ego the size of Alaska.

As arrogant as he was, what he said is true. Parker was right, as much as it hurt me to admit.

Girls seem to be pulled to him like metal to a magnet, no matter where he went. It was for the best if we went to one of our houses so we wouldn't be disturbed. As we exited the car, I noticed that Parker had a suspicious looking smile on his face. We walked inside, slipped off our shoes, and went into the kitchen. I didn't bother looking around his house, because I didn't care.
