To be honest, part of me was wondering if both our families blew the whole "hating each other thing" way out of proportions. Parker's parent's seemed like really nice people, although his mother still scared me just a tiny bit.

After I introduced myself and we all got to know each other a little bit, his parents invited me to stay over for dinner.

I wasn't sure if I should accept the offer at first or not, but after a very lengthy phone call with my mother and 5 warnings on how 'I need to be responsible and on edge' to make sure nothing happens to me, she finally agreed.

I'm kind of glad she did, because I liked spending time at Parker's house. And no, it's not because he has the best house ever, it's because he's a pretty funny guy when he isn't annoying me, and the food he has at his house it out of this world.

The food at my house always taste like something you would find at a secret restaurant that not many people knew about because it was hidden behind a dumpster or something, and not in a good way.

In a 'I want to throw this in the trash and never look at it again, but I don't want to upset my mom' way. Yeah, that bad.

Plus, his siblings were pretty hilarious. It was also hilarious how annoyed Parker got with them even though they were the sweetest creatures on the planet.

When I asked him what we were having for dinner, he just shrugged his shoulders at me. Thanks for the help douche.

Since he wouldn't tell me (or maybe he just didn't know), we decided that we would go upstairs to their game room to hang out until dinner was ready.

I know, a game room. When I first heard about it, I was imagining a room filled with old-school arcade games, with a couple new ones to keep things interesting. But I was in for a nice surprise when we walked in.

The room was painted a light blue, which happened to be my favorite color. The room was half the size of the living room, but still very spacious.

On the left end, there was a giant steel fridge that held what I assumed was an assortment of drinks and snacks. There was also a snack bar next to it that held some chips and candy. In the middle of the wall was one of the biggest flat-screen TV's I've ever seen.

Below it, sat a shelf full of at least a a hundred different video games, and a variety of gaming consoles to go with them.

It was pretty neat, but what I was more fascinated by was the right side of the room. It was exactly as I imagined it. Filled with old-school arcade games, including another Pac-Man game, a Dance Dance Revolution game, and the one where you drive a race car (I'm not good with games, don't judge).

There was also a popcorn machine right in front of me, which of course I ran to first.

"Out of everything in this room, you run to the popcorn machine first?" Parker asked, a small smile on his face. "Duh," I said through a mouthful of popcorn. "I'm always hungry and popcorn is one of my favorite snacks."

This room had a lot of my favorite things in it, which was a complete coincidence.

"What game do you want to play first?" he asked, grabbing a remote to something. Suddenly, the lights dimmed and LED lights that were hung around the room came on, casting purple light on us.

"How about tennis on the Wii? I haven't played that in forever," I replied, walking over to his game selection. The DVDs were organized by game console, and alphabetical order, so it didn't take too long to find it.

"Ah ha!" I exclaimed and pulled out the DVD and slid it into the Wii, turning it on.

The Wii music blasted through speakers and I cringed a little at how loud it was. "Do you always play with your games this loud?" I tried to shout over the noise, but I wasn't sure if he heard me.
