SS016: Stitches by Shawn Mendes
We drove back to Manila even if it's already twelve midnight. I know how tired Xyvier was from everything we did at the beach but I can see that it's not his priority right now. He's determined to get back to Manila this instant and meet with his family to be able to help with the problem that they're facing right now.
He can drive safely as long as he'll calm down and not stress himself out with everything that is going on in his head.
We were both quiet the whole time. I don't even know how to begin talking to him or how to ask him about what's happening with his family. It's obviously serious and some thoughts in my mind are preventing me from asking him for the truth. First one is maybe it's something confidential, or should be within his family and it might be hard for him to open it up to me. Second is, if it's too much information to take, natatakot ako na baka ngayon pa lang ay tumalikod na ko at hayaan siyang siya na muna ang humarap sa pamilya niya. And I don't want that to happen. I want to be by his side as long as he wants me here.
It was still a long ride, though mas mabilis ngayon dahil madaling araw at walang traffic. Halos wala nang mga sasakyan sa daan. I was just holding his other hand the whole time. He also kept our hands that way, kahit sa mga pagkakataon na kailangan niyang galawin ang stick shift.
I suppose this is a way to one of their family houses.
I know we are both tired and exhausted right now pero mabilis pa din ang mga pagkilos ni Xyvier nang bumaba siya ng sasakyan.
"Promise me you'll be with me until the end of all these shits." seryosong saad niya habang hawak ang dalawang kamay ko at mataman na nakatitig sa mga mata ko.
I saw different emotions in his face. And it was almost hard for me to take how much pain and fear were in those dark pools of his eyes. I felt him squeezed my hand and this was the first time I ever felt how much he needed me at this moment.
"I promise." I uttered under low breath while smiling at him to give him courage.
He leaned towards me at dinikit niya ang noo niya sa akin. He closed his eyes and we stayed like that for like ten seconds before he made a step backwards and kissed my forehead.
"Where are they?" tanong ni Xyvier.
I felt him intertwined our fingers nang makarating kami ng second floor.
