Once again, just like every year the snow melted away.
It was raining outside, chilly and cozy, I set near the window and watched the passerbys and stared at the tiny raindrops falling from the sky.
Hi, rainy, how is life up there in the clouds? It must be like heaven right? but now that you've decided to fall, your life is gonna change.
I talked to the raindrops innocently like a kid imagining to be in a fantasy world, where rain is alive and snow can chill under the sun.
I recalled the days when Miles stood outside the window and waited for me under the snow falling sky.
Now that I know my love is not one sided, the fact that I think of him every second does not disturb me, its just beautiful to love and to be loved.
"Levi no?", someone called.
I turned around and found Ellevi standing at the door.
"Yes? Whats the matter?", I asked.
He walked towards me taking baby steps with a grin on his face. I could sense a good news from the atmosphere he bought into my room.
He set on the edge of my bed and patted on my bed, "Come sit here, I've got something to tell you."
I walked towards him and jumped on my bed. "What is it?", I asked, exhaling heavily.
He lifted up a paper on his hand and shouted excitedly ."You are finally going to Korea with us".
The moment I heard him, I got so excited just like I've won the world cup.
My mother is Korean but I don't know why they never took me to Korea, the last time I remembered being in Korea was in fifth grade. My brother often go there to visit my uncle and aunts and sometimes lives there for his breaks, he can even speak Korean fluently and he also look more Korean than Northeast Indian, I wonder why I am nothing like him, I can't speak Korean fluently nor do I look like Korean, I guess I was just a kid fallen from the sky.
"You need to pack your things, we are going tomorrow", he said.
"Tomorrow? But I've got to go to Drey's party tonight, can I do that?", I asked.
"That is fine, you can tell them that you are going to Korea tomorrow", he said.
"But why does mom and dad suddenly want to take me to Korea, they never allowed me right?", I asked.
"Things change, minds change", he said messing my hair . "Ok, take your plane ticket".
"But.............how?"
Before I could finish, his phone rang.
"Ah, hello? Anne"
He waved at me happily and walked out of my room, getting into a conversation with Anne. I stared at him as he walked away, the only voice heard for a moment was Ellevi's shy chuckling and soft music playing downstairs.
This feels so unreal, why is life so easy in everything, whats next? President of India?
I laid on my bed and got drawn in my thoughts, and as I was swimming around, something caught my mind, the attic. I've never been there, I don't know why but it never came to my mind.
I came out from the pool of my random thoughts and without wasting a moment I ran to the attic.
I opened the flesh light because it was too dark to get anything on my sight, As I looked around, everything was so dusty and old just like it haven't been touched for so many years but there was one thing, different than the others, a box, it laid there clean, just like someone kept it just yesterday.
